You'll find this and many, many other depictions of "Superman is a dick" on "Superdickery.tumblr.com" but sans explanation.

I'd advise you to know that in the 2-panel pic by Byrne where Superman takes off a girl's glasses before popping her one, she was NO lady. She and 3 men attempted to rob a liquor store, and she had sticks of dynamite under her jacket, which Superman disarmed after he popped her one.

the description said it's a referance to an old superman comic book cover. which pretty much has the same situation but for fathers day rather than mother's day.

And some flimflooey explanation for Superman's behaivor.
He's lucky that Olson didn't ask Perry White for a transferal to the "Arts & Leisure" dept. and, upon being granted such, to hand the signal watch to Clark Kent so he can return it to Superman. Not wanting to be Superman's pal anymore, he didn't desire to be rescued by him anymore, and transferring to reviewing operas, art galleries, etc., would make it HIGHLY unlikely that he'd need Superman's rescue anymore.

Great reference to that comic cover, it's a shame we don't see more parodies of it.

It could've been worse, Spike, it could be Rarity blowing you off.

Or Twilight could be marrying you off to a gorilla.

......The link answered no questions... I think comic book writers use to use cocaine for their creative influence...

It's the sort of story that was published in the Silly Age before continuity and consistency took over. I am glad that I never read it when the book came out. I am also turned off by the post-1986 changes and upheavals, however.

Now we just need one of the "Batman is probably gay" scenes and replace Batman and Robin with Dash and Scoots, and we'll be set.
