Something I've been working on since some time! Now that I'm a little low on money I thought it would be finally time to bring it out.

Then you have already gained the respect that others don't deserve. I will donate later when I get some money. Edit: In fact, I've donated just now, using the inkbunny page. :)

Terrible for entry level craft skills? You nuts? The biggest Art Show in town for the whole year, perfect weather -- happened last month and my pro friend made one $40.00 sale. Biggest show of the year. Down from 6K five years ago. Forty bucks. The economy Sux!

That YCH stuff is really annoying to me, because in my opinion it's a big slap to the commissioner's face..
Overdoing it, I can see it being a problem. But honestly, Snofu hasn't exactly being doing so. I don't think she's even done any YCH commissions. This is just revenue raising for a comic she did and I don't see how it's a problem, she just wants something in return for the effort and time she took in creating something.

YCH and adoptables are revenue raising, but honestly artists need the money and I don't blame them. No one is forcing anyone to take the spots and no one I know has ever cut off regular commissions to force anyone to take the slots either.
Don't judge artists for wanting to make money. If you don't want something they're offering, don't take it. It's that simple.

I'm a little curious as to why it's a "slap in the commissioner's face." o.o
It's not like you -have- to pay for them, or keep bidding higher. If you like the pose, and the bid isn't out of your budget, I don't see what the problem could be.

I don't exactly mind the "Your character here" pictures. What I *DO* mind, is that the same artists close down comissions at the same time and those who would be comissioners now have to participate and pay upwards of 200-1000 dollars. For a single picture.

Well again all I can say is that its market forces at work. People pay what they're willing to pay. If commissioners stopped paying, the artists would lower prices. But no one is gonna voluntarily lower prices if people are willing to pay more.
