You know...I really wasn't planning on adding a seventh comic to my arsenal, but two things happened: The OC Workshop, and Shard. Not only did I want to see my character and Kit in action, but I also wanted to do a comic with SHARD in it. He's so AWESOME and cute ^^. And dragging him along for the ride is my friend's character Ace Andrews. This story will be a wild ride of multiple pairings and awesome adventure.

...Interesting.

Shard is my favorite character so it's exciting to see things more about him. I'm intrigued by this yet a little wary. The idea of Shard being with an organic is odd in itself. I can see him with Silver or Larry (and even that's a little odd), but an FC just kind of sets up more alarms. Then again, I don't know if that's what you are doing or not.

Nonetheless because he is my favorite character, I will read this if you post it. A word of advice though, and please don't take this offensively, but Shard looks a little too organic here...at least his face does. His spines don't droop like Sonic's. They stand up. His head looks more like fur than metal. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I'm saying it would probably be better to make Shard look more like what he actually is: a robot. The rest of his body, from what I can see, looks fine though, except for the fact that you didn't put the power gem in his chest.

Again, I hope I didn't offend you, I was just giving some friendly advice.

Well, this was actually my first time drawing Shard. As such, I'm not used to drawing robots and I had no references for him facing forward, so i had to make my best guess. About the power gem, it was supposed to be there, but there was a lot of confusion when i drew and inked this that I thought that the power gem was supposed to be hidden behind Ace's quills. I badly miscalculated that after I inked and colored the thing, so, yea, there's gonna be mistakes in the art here. It happens. Just, try to bear with me on this. It's gonna get better. Digital inking is not my best event.

I'd also like to point out that the comic was spawned off because of the OC Workshop, where the point was to be able to create a convincing FC that can work with the flow of of an original character, instead of the crap stories we see with dealing with FC x OC because the kiddies don't know how to balance a character and write a decent story. I would advise that you not form any opinions on this from past mistakes of others, because this was meant to be a decent story, not a crappy FC x OC comic. Watch how the story unfolds first before making assumptions.

That was my point. I haven't really seen a GOOD moment where a official character gets with an FC and it actually works. I'm not trying to harp on your characters, I'm just saying I've never seen a good one so I'm a little wary. Like I said, I'll read it because it has Shard, and that dude needs all the love he can get. If it just so happens that the romance works, then so much the better.
