001 was once a prodigal young unicorn, and her magic was quickly outclassing unicorn mages. However, it was too much for her young body and the magic was destroying it. Her father developed synthetic and artificial organs in the span of just a month in order to save her life, turning her into the first cyborg. Now the only biological parts of her body left are her right eye and horn.
The Sun Princess found out about her existence and kidnapped her, after having her family slaughtered. 001 was then strapped to a wall and rendered immobile. Her body was then studied and, at times, partially dissected in order to create more cyborgs. Thus began the zero-zero-project.
