The picture is based on Chapter 32: The Rose, which ends with a cover of the song with the same name done by The Beach Bears.
After having seen the picture drawn, I went to bed singing the song. After a short time in bed, though, I began singing my own words to it. I eventually fell asleep in the middle of doing this.
Today, I sat down and finished writing out the lyrics. The only problem I had when I finished was that, although I'm perfectly capable of singing, I can not sing multiple harmonies on my own very well...
So after I finished writing it, I handed it it Dipper, whom I knew could do the song the justice it deserved. He loved the lyrics I wrote, and agreed to record it for me.
