For Ciara, being Queen is no easy task. The foxes of Cearnach City demand much of their monarchs, and they expect that any king or queen who wishes to be worthy of their throne will be not only a competent ruler and diplomat, but an accomplished warrior as well. It was Ciara's paternal ancestors who founded the city five hundred years ago, and who set the precedent for all their descendants to follow by conquering their realm in blood and fire. Ciara, herself, has no taste for combat, and she has spent most of her life trying to bring peace to the island, but the safety of her people is more important than her personal desires, and if she must be Queen then she is determined to the best ruler they have ever had.
