Day turns into night
I don on a costume
Stand by the door
I give each kid a treat
Something sugary and sweet
This is Halloween
And what a Halloweeen
Many kids roam the night
Some sour and some sweet
All them in costume
Looking for a treat
As they travel door to door
There was a knock on my door
The first this Halloween
They cry trick or treat
At the start of the night
With such strange costume
Look so very sweet
I hand each a sweet
Then they leave my door
Another group in costume
Come this Halloween
Dressed as children of the night
I hand each one a treat
To give is a treat
With children so sweet
How lovely is the night
Just outside my door
I enjoy Halloween
And the kids in costume
I remember my first costume
When I went trick or treat
On my first Halloween
Back when I was young and sweet
when left out the door
I was a chief that night
Ah Halloween I love that night
Youngins in costume at the door
With a sweet and a treat
