A picture to honour the various fine geese I saw on a recent trip to London, particularly some canada geese I saw in the Thames in the Isle of Dogs/Canary Wharf area. I assumed that canada geese were migratory visitors to Britain, but it turns out they were introduced a few hundred years ago and are happy to stay put year round, since the climate is rather milder than where they originated. Thankfully British ones seem to be a bit more mellow than their Canadian cousins!
