I've been using LibreOffice since 2011, Calc most of all. Despite its controversies in the unfair rejection of Libbie as their mascot, its move in opposing slop code is a win for the FOSS communities. Real code means the programmers know what it does, how to help you with issues and how to fix it. Meanwhile, slop code means encouraging AI crawlers to train on free software and sell you back what it's learned, like Linus is promoting AI for the Linux kernel. I guess being too long in the US, expelling Russian maintainers of the kernel (wonder which side Linus would be on during the siege of Leningrad), claiming anyone has the structure to "just fork it", and being among US CEO-parasites has brainrotted Linus.
