I just don't understand the drama. They are acting like Tristan is dead, then maybe dying and then the nurse says he'll be fine. Yeah, it sucks he got injured, but they are acting like he is on death's door and will suffer lifelong disabilities or something and that doesn't seem to be the case.
Yes, the chance of death was there. But hasn't Chili seen combat before? Surely she's seen injured before. I don't know, the tears and agony from both seem to be way over the top for what the situation is. Even if Tristen never wanted to fight or be in combat, he did. And he did pretty well for himself. And he'll live! They should be happy.
I dunno. Seems surreal to me.

's reply wasn't snarky, and my reply didn't require passive aggressive sarcasm. You've obviously had a bad day to be so defensive against all of those who have replied to answer your question; if anything you need to "chill".
Your responses to us today have been nothing but attitude. EvoTaija ( https://inkbunny.net/EvoTaija
Of course text makes tone difficult to pick up on unless the writer makes it obvious, but there are subtle hints: saying "if you remember better than I or just read the pages back to back," that adds a note of passive aggressive hostility—there's no case of me 'remembering better', we all see the same pages at the same time, all organized. That's really all we need, and for most people, that's really all they do—they just read the last few page(s) back to back to refresh their memory.
The whole thing about "I guess that's the price to pay for getting old and not paying to see the comic come out on Patreon or Subscribestar." That's also unnecessarily biting, especially considering that it has nothing to do with the characters and their emotions. Even if you were a subscriber, it's the exact same amount of time between pages there as it is here; they're just about 6-10 pages earlier than us.
"Trying to remember the emotion from several characters after a couple weeks is a bit of an ask." Basically more passive aggression; covered this in the first paragraph. No one has to remember any of this. I don't remember a good 9 out of the 12 snake sisters' names from the Prophecy comic, or ANY of their birth signs. But I just go back and look for it. Simple.
And then this—

I have not once—not ever, in my life—heard or seen someone use the phrase 'skill issue' in a positive context, for themself or someone else. That is what I mean by sarcasm. It was far too blatant and obvious at that point. It may or may not have been subconscious, but it said everything you wanted to say.

I'm just going to be honest about this. All that passive aggressive negativity? That was all directed at myself. If you read it again, I didn't point it at anyone but myself for not realizing I made a mistake. But I guess wallowing in my own depression and self loathing wasn't obvious enough so you had to berate me in a multiparagraph breakdown. Thanks for that.

None of this was done beratingly. But it is painfully obvious that you're coming from a place of hurt, and this is as hard of a cry for help as it can get. I'll contact you in PM's; we're going to talk this one out.

It's mostly relief. She clearly loves him, and whether the other villagers care much about his injuries or not, he's still horrendously fucked up. Hell, just the last page says he was so close to death they had to treat him right there on the floor. (personally, I don't think he really is "fine" and the villagers are just lying/downplaying the whole thing)
So, the emotions are pretty well deserved 😅

I suppose that makes sense. Sometimes I get a bit of disconnect since the pages can be days apart from each other. Or weeks in this case. Just in this singular page it feels off, but if you remember better than I or just read the pages back to back, it fits better. I guess that's the price to pay for getting old and not paying to see the comic come out on patreon or subscribestar. Trying to remember the emotion from several characters after a couple weeks is a bit of an ask. I guess I should get into the habit of reading the previous page when a new one comes out so the context fill flow better.

Still ain't surprised on Leo's attitude. Boy was getting jump by the chaos before Alex's tsunami, and he still talks smack on Tristan and Nigel. Am I really the only one that is praying on Leo's downfall/ humbling?
