Leaf is a young domestic kitten born to Lancelot and Flower.
As a member of Flower's family, Leaf is part of a litter whose lives would eventually become connected to the supernatural world of Hell.
Her precise coat pattern, eye color, and other distinguishing markings have not yet been established, leaving those details open for your character design.
Despite living in Hell, Leaf is an ordinary living kitten. She has no demonic powers simply because of where she lives.
She walks on four paws, uses her ears and tail to communicate her feelings, and relies on her instincts to navigate the world around her.
## 💚 Personality
**Curious:** Like many kittens, Leaf is interested in discovering her surroundings. New smells, unfamiliar objects, and strange noises can easily capture her attention.
**Affectionate:** Leaf enjoys companionship and appreciates having someone nearby to make her feel safe.
**Playful:** Being a kitten, she has plenty of opportunities to explore, play, and get into harmless mischief.
**Family-Oriented:** Her parents and siblings are important parts of her life. Even though her family is now spread across different homes, those relationships remain meaningful.
**Adaptable:** Leaf has found a new home at the Hazbin Hotel. Although it is an unusual place for an ordinary kitten, she now has Charlie looking after her.
## 📖 Backstory
Leaf was born to Lancelot and Flower, alongside her siblings Kit and Scar.
Her parents raised their kittens in the living world, where they began their lives as an ordinary feline family.
Neither Lancelot nor Flower could have predicted that their family would eventually become connected to Hell and Heaven.
Everything changed when Lancelot's mother, Sparrow, was found again.
Sparrow had died of old age when Lancelot was still a kitten. After her death, she became the Warden of Hell, a powerful guardian responsible for maintaining the balance between Heaven and Hell.
Although Sparrow had been separated from her son for years, she never stopped wondering what had become of him.
Eventually, she sent Alastor into the living world to find Lancelot.
When Sparrow discovered that her son had grown up and started a family, she reunited with him and brought Lancelot, Flower, and their kittens to Hell.
Leaf's life changed dramatically as a result.
She was no longer living in the ordinary world she had been born into. Instead, she found herself in a realm populated by demons, supernatural beings, and souls who had died.
Fortunately, Leaf did not have to face this strange new world alone.
**Charlie Morningstar adopted Leaf**, welcoming the little kitten into her care at the Hazbin Hotel.
Charlie could provide Leaf with a safe home, affection, and protection while helping her adjust to her new surroundings.
For Leaf, the Hazbin Hotel became her new home.
## 🏨 Life at the Hazbin Hotel
Living at the Hazbin Hotel gives Leaf the opportunity to grow up somewhere she is cared for.
Charlie is now her adoptive mother, and Leaf can spend her days becoming familiar with the hotel and the unusual characters who live there.
Although Leaf's life is connected to Hell's larger events, she is not responsible for fixing its problems.
She is a kitten.
She deserves the chance to play, rest, explore, and feel safe.
Sparrow also makes an effort to maintain contact with her granddaughter. She has brought Lancelot to visit Leaf, allowing father and daughter to spend time together.
These visits are particularly important because Sparrow understands how painful it can be when a family is separated.
She wants Leaf to know that being adopted does not mean she has lost her original family.
She has Charlie as her adoptive mother, but Lancelot and Flower remain her parents, and Kit and Scar remain her siblings.
