Appearance
Aurelius is a large, powerful wolf with thick brown and cream fur that helps her blend into the forests and mountains surrounding Berk. Her darker brown markings give her a fierce appearance, and her sharp golden-brown eyes often make others mistake her for a dangerous predator.
Unlike the wolves that hunt in packs, Aurelius carries herself like a lone warrior. Her fluffy mane-like fur around her neck makes her appear larger than she really is, helping intimidate threats before they get close.
Despite her intimidating appearance, Aurelius has a softer side that only those she truly trusts ever see.
Personality
Aurelius is not an easy creature to befriend.
She is:

After losing her pack as a young pup, Aurelius learned that attachment could lead to pain. She became distant from other creatures and refused to trust anyone again.
The one exception was Toothless.
To Aurelius, Toothless was not just a friend — he was family.
History
When Aurelius was only a pup, her wolf pack was attacked and killed, leaving her alone in the wilderness. Weak, frightened, and unable to survive on her own, she wandered through the forests searching for somewhere safe.
Eventually, she met a young Night Fury.
At first, Aurelius and Toothless were cautious around each other. Both were lonely creatures who had been misunderstood by the world around them.
Over time, they formed an unbreakable bond.
Toothless became the family Aurelius had lost.
He taught her that she wasn't alone, and Aurelius became one of the few creatures Toothless trusted before meeting Hiccup.
They hunted together, explored together, and protected each other from danger.
For the first time since losing her pack, Aurelius had someone who would never leave her.
The Arrival of Hiccup
When Toothless met Hiccup, everything changed.
At first, Aurelius didn't understand why Toothless kept disappearing. She waited for him in the forest, expecting her best friend to return like he always had.
But days turned into weeks.
Toothless spent more time with the human boy, and Aurelius began believing the worst:
She had been replaced.
To her, Hiccup wasn't a friend.
He was the human who stole the only family she had left.
Whenever Hiccup approached, Aurelius would growl, bare her teeth, and place herself between him and Toothless. She saw Hiccup as a threat, not because he hurt Toothless, but because she feared losing Toothless completely.
Relationship With Toothless
Toothless — Best Friend / Adopted Family
Aurelius loves Toothless more than anything.
She remembers him before he had a rider, before he trusted humans, and before he became the famous dragon of Berk.
However, she struggles to accept that Toothless can love both her and Hiccup.
Deep down, Aurelius doesn't hate Hiccup.
She's afraid.
Afraid that if Toothless has a human family, there will be no place left for her.
Relationship With Hiccup

At first, Aurelius sees Hiccup as someone who stole her best friend.
She refuses to obey him, avoids him, and will sometimes challenge him if she thinks Toothless is in danger.
However, over time, she begins noticing something:
Hiccup isn't trying to take Toothless away.
He's trying to protect him too.
The hardest lesson Aurelius must learn is that love isn't something that runs out.
