Appearance
Eira is a tiny wolf-dragon pup with mostly dark, almost black fur inherited from her mother and Night Fury traits inherited from her father.
She has:
🐺 A fluffy wolf-like body
🐾 Four wolf-like paws
🐉 A dragon's tail
🪽 Large, leathery dragon wings that are currently far too big for her body
👂 Wolf-like ears
🦷 Small but surprisingly sharp teeth
👁️ Bright, expressive eyes
🔵 A Night Fury-like ability to produce blue plasma
Her oversized wings make walking difficult for her right now. She constantly trips over them, flaps them accidentally, and occasionally smacks Toothless in the face with one.
As she grows, her body will gradually become large enough to support them.
Personality
Even at only fifteen days old, Eira is already showing signs of a strong personality.
She's:
Curious — Everything is worth investigating.
Playful — Especially when Toothless is trying to sleep.
Mischievous — She has already discovered that her father reacts very quickly when she gets into trouble.
Affectionate — She loves sleeping beneath Toothless' wing.
Stubborn — If she wants something, she will absolutely let everyone know.
Fearless — She doesn't yet understand how dangerous the world can be.
Protective — A trait she inherited from Aurelius.
Very attached to Toothless — He is the only parent she has ever known.
Abilities
🔵 Plasma Blast
Eira inherited Toothless' plasma ability.
The problem?
She has almost no control over it yet.
Her first accidental blast happened when she sneezed, nearly hitting Gobber.
As she grows, her plasma should become considerably stronger and more accurate.
🪽 Flight
Eira technically has the wings required for flight...
but they're currently much too large for her.
She can't fly yet.
She can, however, flap them hard enough to accidentally knock things over.
🐺 Wolf Senses
From Aurelius, Eira inherited excellent senses.
Her sense of smell is especially strong, allowing her to recognize Toothless and Hiccup even when she can't see them.
🐾 Wolf Agility
As she grows, Eira is expected to become extremely agile on the ground.
She'll likely be able to run through forests and maneuver around obstacles much more easily than a typical dragon.
🔥 Dragon Durability
Her dragon side gives her greater physical durability than an ordinary wolf.
Her body will become increasingly resistant to cold, heat, and physical impacts as she matures.
Weaknesses
Because she's still a newborn, Eira is extremely vulnerable.
She can't properly eat solid food yet.
She can't fly.
She has little control over her plasma.
Her oversized wings make her clumsy.
She tires quickly.
She relies heavily on Toothless for protection.
She's still learning how to walk.
Her curiosity frequently gets her into trouble.

Toothless is extremely protective of Eira.
After losing Aurelius, finding Eira gives him a reason to keep moving forward.
He feeds her, carries her, keeps her warm, and sleeps beside her.
He also intends to teach her everything he knows.
But there's one thing Toothless is determined to make sure she understands:
She will never be alone.
Relationship with Hiccup
Family / Trusted Human
Eira doesn't understand human speech yet, but she recognizes Hiccup's voice and scent.
Hiccup becomes an important part of her upbringing.
He's fascinated by her unusual combination of wolf and dragon traits and wants to understand what she'll be capable of when she grows up.
He's also the one who gave her the name Eira.
Her Mother — Aurelius
Eira never got the chance to truly know her mother.
Aurelius spent her final days secretly caring for Eira, leaving food and keeping her hidden before returning to Berk.
She died protecting others before Eira was old enough to understand who she was.
But Eira carries pieces of her mother everywhere.
Her fur.
Her instincts.
Her loyalty.
Her protective nature.
And someday, Toothless will tell Eira everything about the wolf who gave her life.

She has already learned how to annoy her father.
Toothless is extremely nervous whenever she gets near a cliff.
Her favorite place is currently wherever Toothless is.
She may eventually become an incredibly powerful combination of wolf instincts and Night Fury abilities.

As Eira grows, she could become an incredible creature.
A wolf that can fly.
A dragon that can track prey through the forest.
A Lupine Fury capable of using both wolf tactics and dragon abilities.
