🐺 Appearance

Inola is a striking feral wolf-dog with a powerful yet graceful build. Her coat is primarily deep black, contrasted by warm golden-tan markings along her sides, legs, tail, and face. Her chest, muzzle, and paws are covered in soft white fur, giving her an almost noble appearance.

Her piercing golden eyes are sharp and intelligent, constantly observing the world around her.

Around her neck is a dark red leather collar decorated with golden studs, which she crafted herself. Her forepaws are wrapped in thick, worn bindings of leather and cloth. Although they began as crude makeshift grips to help her hold blacksmithing tools, years of practice transformed them into an essential part of her craft.

🔨 Personality

Inola was determined, patient, fiercely independent, and incredibly hardworking. She rarely accepted that something was impossible.

Being a feral wolf-dog, she had no formal training as a blacksmith. Everything she knew was learned through trial, failure, experimentation, and years of persistence.

She was also incredibly brave. Inola would willingly venture into dangerous areas alone to obtain materials for her weapons. She became especially infamous for fighting Stone Taluses by herself, facing the massive creatures with nothing but her own strength, instincts, and blacksmithing tools.

Despite her toughness, Inola had a gentle side. She believed weapons should not be created simply for destruction—they should be created to protect those who could not protect themselves.

⚔️ The Blacksmith Who Forged a Legend

Inola lived in a secluded cave on the outskirts of Rito Village, deep within the harsh wilderness of the Hebra Mountains.

Her cave served as both her home and her forge.

For years, she gathered rare ores, monster materials, ancient metals, gemstones, and other resources from across Hyrule. She obtained many of them herself, often taking on dangerous monsters completely alone.

Her greatest ambition, however, was not to create an ordinary weapon.

She wanted to create a blade worthy of Hyrule's legendary hero.

One night, while working at her forge, Inola received guidance from the Goddess. Though she did not fully understand why she had been chosen, the divine guidance gave her the knowledge necessary to begin creating something extraordinary.

A blade unlike anything she had ever forged before.

The Master Sword.

For countless days and nights, Inola worked on the sword. She hammered, shaped, heated, cooled, and refined the unfinished blade, pouring everything she had into it.

But just before the sword was completed...

🦁 The Lynel attacked.

A powerful Lynel discovered Inola's hidden forge and stormed inside.

Inola fought desperately to defend her life's greatest creation.

The battle destroyed much of her forge.

During the chaos, the unfinished Master Sword was knocked away and fell into a nearby river.

The current carried it far from Inola's cave.

🌊 The Lost Blade

Inola immediately began searching for the sword.

The river carried the unfinished blade all the way toward Kakariko Village, where it was eventually discovered by another blacksmith.

The blacksmith didn't know where the strange unfinished blade had come from.

Seeing its incredible potential, they decided to finish the weapon themselves.

By the time Inola finally reached Kakariko Village, the blade had already been completed.

The moment she saw it, she knew.

It was her sword.

She recognized every part of her craftsmanship—the shape of the blade, the balance, and even the tiny imperfections left behind by her paws.

Inola reclaimed the sword.

But she knew the weapon was never meant to belong to her.

It belonged to the Hero of Hyrule.

🌳 The Journey to Korok Forest

Carrying the finished Master Sword, Inola traveled to Korok Forest.

There, beneath the ancient trees, she found the pedestal where the legendary blade would eventually rest.

With great care, Inola placed the Master Sword into its pedestal.

Then she sat beside it.

And waited.

She believed that someday, the Hero would come.

Days became weeks.

Weeks became months.

Months became years.

And years became decades.

Inola never left.

She grew older as she continued watching over the sword.

Her once-powerful body became tired. Her fur gradually lost its youthful shine. Her paws ached, and her movements became slower.

Yet every time she looked toward the pedestal, she remained hopeful.

The Hero would come someday.

🌲 The Wooden Guardian

Eventually, Inola's old body could no longer continue.

She peacefully passed away beside the Master Sword.

But something strange happened afterward.

Rather than leaving behind an ordinary corpse, Inola's body slowly transformed into wood.

Her fur, bones, and body became part of the forest itself until she eventually resembled an ancient wooden wolf-dog statue sitting near the Master Sword's pedestal.

The Koroks believe the statue has always been there.

Few know the truth.

It is Inola.

The blacksmith who created the blade.

The guardian who waited for the Hero.

✨ Spirit of the Master Sword

Although Inola's body became part of the forest, her spirit never left.

Her soul became bound to the Master Sword she had created.

Now, whenever the sword rests in its pedestal, Inola's spirit remains within it.

She cannot physically leave.

She cannot speak to everyone.

But she can feel the presence of those who touch the blade.

And she can sense when someone approaches who might truly be worthy of becoming its wielder.

For years, she has waited.

And waited.

And waited.

Until finally...

Link arrives.

For the first time since her death, Inola feels something she hasn't felt in generations.

Hope.

The Hero has finally come.

And the spirit of the forgotten blacksmith is ready to guide him.

⚔️ Legacy

"I did not forge this sword for myself. I forged it for the one who would carry Hyrule's hope."

Inola's name has been forgotten by nearly everyone in Hyrule.

The Master Sword is remembered.

The Hero is remembered.

The Goddess is remembered.

But the feral wolf-dog who created the legendary blade has become nothing more than a forgotten story hidden beneath the trees of Korok Forest.

Yet whenever Link holds the Master Sword...

Inola is there.

Watching.

Guiding.

Waiting.

Because after all those years, the weapon she gave her entire life to create has finally found its Hero.
