The character I'm playing in a Pathfinder campaign. Her name's Guinefort, she's a cloistered cleric of Seranrae, and a goddess certified good girl. She is quite capable of healing allies, the licking is not optional. She is also fully able to cleanse heathens in the DIVINE FIRE OF THE SUN!... ahem.
She was once a hunting dog, and was valued enough to have sired a few litters before she was awakened. Once awakened she escaped her owner. Finding asylum in the church of Seranrae, she spent much time in the libraries and became a cleric. Unfortunately it was difficult to find much respect as a talking dog, so she set off on adventure to make a name for herself.
I've wanted to do a similar concept for SO LONG, but my usual GM has hang-ups with anything 'weird'. Love you're making it happen. Seranrae is only beaten out by Shelyn in my book... but just barely. 10/10, would offer donations of dried meats and fancy cheeses to The Dawnflower's bestest puppo.

Yeah, I'm fortunate that my dm and also my whole party are all about assembling a motley crew of strange people. In a way it makes sense that the weird adventurers would band together.

LOL, cloistered cleric is so much better than regular cleric. What's better than wearing full-plate and swinging a mace around? Having Knowledge (History, The Plains, Geography, Religion, and Archetecture), bardic lore, and access to three different spell domains, that's what. It's not like your party's primary healer was about to be getting stuck in next to the fighter anyway.
