Nova finally caught her opening and knocked Roy to the ground. A second later, he was lying on his back with her looming over him, leaving him with very little choice.
Roy stared at her in silence for a couple of seconds.
Then he suddenly started laughing.
— What are you laughing at? — Nova asked, annoyed.
— Nothing. Just~~… I didn’t expect such a tiny little mouse to hit this hard.
— Call me a mouse one more time and you’ll find out just how much harder I can hit.
Roy just smirked.
— Alright, alright. I give up~
— Really?
— Yeah. Could you get off me? The crystals are already yours anyway.
Nova stared at him for another second, as if deciding whether she could trust him, before finally letting him go.
Roy got back up, dusted himself off, and looked at her again. That’s when he noticed the familiar symbol on Nova’s shoulder.
— Hey… I know that symbol!
Nova frowned slightly.
— So?
— Just curious where you got it from))
After that, the conversation somehow just kept going. The crystals stayed with Nova, Roy’s mission was a failure, but neither of them felt like starting another fight anymore.
Instead, they decided to just talk and get to know each other a little better~
