Guard dog of Hel in Norse myth. He wards off all who would enter and prevents the dead from escaping. At Ragnarok, he will break free of his chains and howl to announce the end of the world, where he and Tyr will kill each other in battle. It is theorized that he and Fenrir are the same entity.
Though he appears vicious at first glance, Garm is actually a big softie, timid and lonely. He valiantly guards Yuri, his other half, without whom he cannot properly function.

This was a birthday gift for a very dear friend of mine, Garm! In the spirit of trying to make my artwork more toothy, and with Garm being a very toothy model, I decided I wanted to see if I could play that up <3
This is a super fun design to do, actually. Really going out there with the snarl, the wrinkles, the shape of the muzzle and lips - that wonderful, unsettling mix of anger and glee that's just so easy on this face.
Enjoy <3
