This is my penguin OC, Luna.
In my Aqua: Mermaid Princess of Atlantis, she's one of the main characters, and is Princess Aqua's royal advisor.
Here's her origin story:
Luna was born at the peaceful island called Págos Island, where the penguin colony lives together.
Luna has a wonderful life until she was separated from her parents when she was eight years old, it's because of the Red Tide, the poisonous and deadly to all marine life.
After she's getting away from the red tide, Luna has never been separated from her parents and the penguin colony before. She was very alone as she had arrived at the tropical island called - ASTERA ISLAND.
Luna had cried almost a whole night before she has arrived in the village - ASTERA VILLAGE, which is where good kinds of humans, fishermen and sailors live.
The village chief welcomed her as an honorable guest and let her explained how she get there. Luna explained that she was separated from her family due to the red tide and is now stranded and alone, unable to find her parents or the penguin colony.
The village chief feels so remorseful for the young penguin and lets her stay until she's reached to her adulthood.
Luna has lived for 10 years in Astera Island, and her chest was growing because of the mysterious natural growth within it, but she doesn't mind at all.
The elder enchantress painted the crescent moon marks on Luna's wings and forehead and told the penguin that as long as she has the moon marks, she can control their powers as long as she wants to.
She then said that the moon marks have the moon powers to make her fly in the sky, but in exchange, her body needs to inflate.
Once Luna uses the power, her body started to inflate and lifts off the sand while heading to the sky and started to having her flight to looking for her family. While she's doing it, Luna's flying above the clouds and then going up higher and higher to the stratosphere and then higher into space.
Luna has never been so excited to fly while being inflated as she's headed to the moon and slowly floats around it before going back to Earth. She still remembered that she wears the "Aquatic Pearl" that can make her breathe underwater and in space.
The necklace was given by her mother when she was five years old, and which makes Luna miss her parents, so she's flying back to Earth, and finally... She has found Págos Island and reunited her parents who were so emotionally happy to seeing her grow into a beautiful penguin.
Weeks later, she has met a male rockhopper penguin named Raki aka Rocky, and she's in love with him, despite he's nine years older than her.
And that's the end of her origin story about the powers and how she separate and reunited with her parents, and of course the magical powers within the moon marks.
Anyway, Luna can also inflate like a balloon and maybe can float with Aqua.
And in my story, Luna is 24 years old.
I hope you're liking it.
