Long ago, in Midnight's ancestral home of Eurish, the middle of spring brought many festivals. None more so than the tradition of Beltan, where people would light bonfires to chase away bad spirits, only using water from sacred spots to put it out. That spirit of sacred water seems to have ties to Midnight's ability to control water...
Especially since the holiday falls right on Midnight's birthday, at the start of the month. It is on this day the spirit takes form, turning the small hedgehog into a powerful bear with even more control over the element. No longer limited to just a softball of water, he can plow through any obstacles with blasts and streams, and what doesn't fall to water he can break through with his bulk! This form lasts the entire month, giving him plenty of time to revel in it before the spirit goes dormant once more, waiting for the next call.
