I've chatted to a few people this year about Christmas, and got their ideas and thoughts behind it. It's interesting; Christmas is different to so many. In India, like I said last year, it's very different - many people don't think of it as more than a day off there, at least from those I talked to. Many will still work that day like any other.
And even among the more western world, there are those that don't think too much of it, or celebrate differently. Some don't care much, some are enjoying time with their families, some hate it. It's interesting to see all these perspectives.
I love Christmas. And I want to emphasize why. I love it because it's a time of great communal love and happiness - a day, traditionally, where we're suppose to be happy and enjoy each other's company and just celebrate - peace on earth and goodwill to all. Even those areas people tend to dislike about it - the rampant commericalism, the expectation to see inlaws - are based in gift-giving and togetherness. And yes, it doesn't always work, and I can certainly see why there are a lot of people out there that don't like it - but to me, in this day and age, a day where we're supposed to set aside differences and have fun together is something very special to me.
I hope everyone reading this finds the happiness they deserve this season, wherever it may come from.

Something I always appreciate about coming back up to Stockport, or to the Manchester meets, is that there's always a chance to see your grinning face. It's a lovely thing to be greeted by, especially knowing that behind it is a warm and welcoming heart, and it was special to have those once again this year. Merry Christmas!

To hang out with you is to enjoy life, and to indulge in the vibrant experiences, witty banter, and sincerity that you bring. It's always a good time with Karaway around.
