At the conclusion of World War II, Japan was forced to abandon its military ambitions, reduced to a Special Defense Force to protect itself from intruders. Nobody would have dreamed that the victims of World War II should have been held to that same standard.
And yet here we are. Israel is encroaching on other territories... first the neighboring West Bank ("it'll be valuable real estate when we get rid of all the current occupants!," Jared Kushner quipped in an interview), then nearby countries in the Middle East. It's quickly becoming clear that Israel plans to occupy the entire territory, in the same way Japan tried to conquer most of the Eastern hemisphere during the second World War.
Israel has a fundamental misunderstanding of its place and power in world politics. You are an artificial island, with territory provided to you as a consolation prize for the horrors of the Holocaust. You've repaid us by 1) Demanding military protection from America, 2) Demanding funds from America, 3) Attacking nearby countries with little provocation, and 4) Barging your way into America's war room (!!!) to plot those attacks, using our soldiers as pawns. (How dare you. How DARE you.)
Perhaps you're unaware that you're acting exactly like your German oppressors ninety years ago. Perhaps you've lost sight of the fact that once Trump is gone, the next administration will NOT be so tolerant of this behavior. And the moment America withdraws its protection after you've spent the last thirty plus years antagonizing your Muslim neighbors, your country is rubble. As Iran and Iraq do to you exactly what you did to the Palestinians, without your pals in America to bail you out, you'll come to the realization that you did this to yourselves. The emotional blackmail you used on the rest of the world to get yourself into this mess won't get you out.
No, spurious accusations of anti-Semitism will not cow me. Not when Israel has abandoned all tenants of the Jewish religion in its lust for power. Not when its leader is the worst Jewish man who ever walked the face of the Earth. If this were the Vatican, a country under Catholic rule, I would say exactly the same thing. Thing is, Catholicism got the whole "genocide" thing out of its system by the Renaissance. They're not dumb enough to wage war on the rest of Europe. What's your excuse?
As for Ed Sheeran, he can take his corporate bootlicking, his soppy generic ballads, and his frivolous claims of being culturally Irish (while ignoring the responsibilities that come with being Irish), and shove 'em.
