I will not be able to post anything new over the next couple weeks as I'll be away from my computer. So here is something completely different!

Traditional artwork! Yes, before I could draw via tablet, I would break out the old pencil and paper and draw till my hearts content.

This picture was render when I was only of 16 winters. It is drawn on 24x18", 120 pound paper and took 78 hours to complete.

Story:

To say the least, it was worth it! I entered it in the local art competition and took first place in the junior art category and peoples choice. A great honor, as that was against over 2 hundred entries of pastel, water, oil paintings and even some sculptures and quilts. Most art being rendered by artist with twice the years of experience then I've been alive.

I retired in art that day.

Cheers!

Hi Ern, I'm a new musician and I would love if you could make some artwork for me. It was one of my friends Josh or Lowtechjosh, who told me about you, and I'm not dissapointed. I will of course give your art all the credit.

Greetings Rami

You are one skilled and prodigous artist. Unfortunately for you, as an audience member, my mind goes only to dirty places as I look at this. X3 Sorry, he's just so strong and handsome <3

You realize I was only 16 when I rendered this picture out. I didn't even know about the furry fandom back then

I'm curious, what was your favorite art period?

For human history: mid-late Renaissance. Buildings: Art Deco of the 1930's, thou I'm still a sucker for High Gothic in Cathedrals. Can't say I'm much of a fan of Modern art, I find that people try to push the envelope to far and call it art just because they touched it.... Dada art I find interesting and has spawned some really unique amateur films

I should also add Paul Rand as a graphic designer as that man did everything

Jesus Christ.  I sorta did share the same story of trying out art and getting quite good at it before backing off; but I've never done anything this impressive.  I hope you have this hung up somewhere, god, I think it's of wonderful worth.

I'm not putting down any of you digital art, it's just I haven't seen pencil-drawn art of that quality in a long time.  I just found your account today, I wish I did sooner for this alone.  I will follow you, even to the ends of the earth, or at least as far as inkbunny lets me.

oh, 9 years ago... did you have to remind me at how I was a better artist at 16 then at 25! I'm only kidding^^

Yeah, the picture looks far better as its 24"x18" or something large like that. and a bit is lost in the photograph as its behind glass and no photo looks as good when taken behind glass. I believe the picture is still hung up at my old room in my parents house, I should probably bring that to my place one day.

Thanks for the watch buddy, and more so for the comment. Not enough people leave feedback these days^^

This is absolutely amazing and fantastic!!!

You could consider to do maybe a few alt versions of him in his full stallion glory, if you digitally render this one.
