Quick concept doodle while I work on the last three pages of the sexy Anubis x Husky comic!
Just a little world-building concept I've had since I created my characters.
If you ever wondered how Evocanis see, then here's a simple chart comparing it to a regular dog (my dog Sky!), and... some random human.
Regular dogs do see colors, despite the common belief that thy only see black and white. However, they are not able to distinguish the red spectrum, as they lack the necessary receptors for it. Dogs also see the world kinda blurry. If you have Myopia (short sightedness) and take your glasses off, that's a good example of how dogs see.
Evocanis were genetically enhanced to be able to perceive the full spectrum, just like us, however, they perceive these colors in a less saturated state. Ever noticed how they love contrasting bright colored clothes? As well as their environments? Well, there you go. They don't see colors with the same saturation as we do. Where Evo's eyes completely overpower ours, is in depth perception and sharpness. They are able to see incredible detail, at long distances. Almost like "High Definition" eyesight. This was also a genetic enhancement. Evos were originally created as replacements for human soldiers. Or course, they do not know this as of now, but it is the reason why they were given these enhancements during their creation. I won't get too much into details, as this is part of my story.
