I tried to make it as lore accurate as possible. The fandom often portrays Dess as the ultimate badass teenager but I think there's good reason to believe she wasn't very popular

Her friend group was really tiny. Quite literally her only friends were Noelle, Kris, Asriel and PizzaPants. There's also good reason to believe that she was the closest with Kris. She was incredibly protective of Noelle, and for that reason probably hid a lot from her. She was Asriel's love interest, but there's reason to believe that he didn't understand her the best sometimes

Think about it. Think about the family dynamics of the Holidays and Dreemurrs. Asriel and Noelle were both the "Golden child" of their respective families, while Kris and Dess were essentially the "problem child". Kris was not only a hellian growing up, but there's strong evidence that they felt like they never fit in with their family due to them being human

Dess may have very well been closer with Kris than Asriel. Because with Kris, she didn't have to censor herself. They just sorta understood each other like no one else did. Hence why she'd drag them on little adventures. To Kris, she WAS the ultimate badass. In the eyes of an adult though? She was the quiet, troubled kid no one liked

For the life of me I could not find the artist who made the art who inspired this, but you can find it on reddit. Just look up "Reddit loser Dess" and you'll find it. Not sure if the actual poster is the original artist, but it was posted by Moony_Moonzzi

What I like about the fanart that inspired me so much, is that it gets rid of the fandom's usual interpretation of Dess. Showing that, when you remove the "Badass rebel" persona, all you're left with is a pudgy, dorky edge lord who has probably embarrassed her mother in more ways than one

With all of that, I made this. I made her exactly that. A pudgy, dorky edge lord who probably thinks herself a bigger badass than she actually is
