I've been in a PMD game using Explorers a PMD RPG for almost 3 months now. Using Jake the Buizel. (Some other games came to end, news one slide in. just how it goes)
We just got hit with a major part of the plot. The Legends have chosen us as their Successors in the event they die. Since, something is happening right now that. might kill them. We don't know specifics yet. But this came with a buff, a new skill, and a fancy new look~
Back when we made the characters we had been asked to pick a god, maybe one we worshipped, or. Just something that gave us a tie in some way. Tapu Koko was who I picked, because Jake's backstory for this game was that he survived being struck by lightning when he was young, and now he's a thrillseeking cunt who wants to challenge Tapu Koko. So. it worked out.
Welp. New look! I don't like much of Tapu Koko's design, i used their eyebrow markings as inspiration here. But.. mostly just went with changing the markings to bolts. I drew over another piece to get the ideas down. And in that, I also changed his fins to have a more pointed look. I've got that edit up on my bluesky if ya wanna see. Oh and the tips of his headfins got colored~ like Tapu's mowhawk.
Anyways. I like this look so much, I'm keeping it as Jake's default look from now on. Woo!
Edit: Added the testing image I did before drawing this piece. It's just a drawn over Jake piece.
