Feathers had been happy living in his guardian Slither's house. Slither had raised him like a son, changed his diapers, taught him right from wrong, took him to school, and even made a family with Ince, Skylar, Otis, and Bess. But one day, Feathers had started crying, because he had felt how far he and his new family had gone. Slither happened to notice this and tried to comfort him. It was at that point that Feathers had told him how happy he was to have Slither as his guardian, and how happy he was to have a family with his siblings. He embraced Slither in a hug, crying and telling him that he loves him. Touched by this, Slither hugged back, telling him that he loves him too.
