On 7 August 2026, just before the start of the second year of my PhD programme in computer science at the National University of Singapore, I arrived very early for a sharing session. With nothing to do or watch for about an hour I drew a Primarina on the room's whiteboard, adding a crescent and five stars for the upcoming National Day. That drawing was not erased before or during the sharing session proper.
I had also not been doing vectors for months at that point, so I duly proceeded to vector my whiteboard drawing – the start of term delayed its completion past National Day, but everything worked out in the end.
