Ray Of Hope Part 1
My eyes fluttered open the bright lights stung my eyes tiring to move I felt a weight on my chest looking down I saw a book it looked rather small despite the weight reaching out a hand a finger brushed the cover I felt something…….something old maybe ancient and deep like an ocean “ah good your awake young Prince” came a voice to my right turning my head I was surprised to see a kitsune like creature floating in mid air she I was sure it was female by the voice and by the faint magical feminine scent in the air as she bows low “I’m sure you have lots of questions Prince Belle “ she says before landing on the bed next to me “here let me help you sit up” she says showing surprising strength to help me into a sitting position before she lands onto of the book in my lap “first off my names Kasumi and this is…..????” she paused looking around “oh come on Amate no need to hide” she says then knocks on the cover of the book like it was a door “come on sis you got to come out” she says as the book glows as a little pink ad blue fluffy critter came out looking sleepy letting out a yawn as Amate started to float out of the book “yawnnnnnnnn hu?.......way is it so bright out are we finally in the real world?”
She asked right before she came all the way out a blue and white furred paw shout out and grabed her leg “honey come back to bed daddy needs his little fox” came the voice as she eeps and pulls away “Kath!!!! Get your lazy horny ass out here” Amate says as Kasumi starts laughing as she float’s in the air four fluffy tails wagging happily before she goes over and helps her sister pull free of who ever Kath was she took her sisters paws in her own and started to pull “ohhhhh come on Kath stop it and just let her go” Kasumi says as Amate laugh’s “come on sis you know how Kathy gets” she says as the two move around lined up with me I had a good view of Kasumi’s back side my cheeks started to blush like crazy I saw the book wiggle back and forth so I reached out to hold it steady
A few moments into this I hear a eep from someone the next thing I know I’m getting a face full of fluffy body’s that nock me flat on my back coming back to my scene’s I noticed a mix of male and female magical scents as I opened my eyes all I could see was blackness and fluffy blue and white fur “oh my star’s” I heard Kasumi say as I felt some of the weight leave my face but to my shock I was looking up into Kath’s fluffy and very musky ball’s as I hear a chuckle from above looking up I see Kath’s violet eyes looking down at me with a cocky grin on his face “WOW prince didn’t think you liked me that much maybe you can keep Ouch Ouch” I hear him say as Kasumi grabs him by one ear “come on you horny best” she says hauling Kath off my face
Some time later I sat in the dinning room of the Rose with everyone Sally was addressing the room at large “now everyone I’m happy that we managed to get out of that hairy mess we were in thankfully Belle is okay The Guncanon came out of its first live fire combat test with flying colors and took down an Imperial Zaku” she says and the room exploded into cheer’s and claps as Nicole tries to sink into the chair cheeks bright red but Sally continued “now then we will be arriving at Elysium in a two hours were taken a roundabout course to avoid Imperial patrols so tell then everyone please relax and unwind” she says as the room starts to empty she waves me over as I approach her Kasumi floats next to me as I reach Sally’s side “Belle nice to see you up and about you had us worried and I see you have a new friend” she says as Kasumi nods to her and bows her head “yes my names Kasumi it’s nice to meet you princess Sally” she says as Sally blinks a soft blush to her cheeks “oh….oh my thank you Kasumi but I’m not a princess” she as Kasumi chuckles “hehe well maybe not right now but I have an eye for the potential in others and let me just say yours and Belle’s are very very high” she says as Sally motion’s for me to follow her
As I followed Sally out of the room we were meet by two figures just down the hall one was a tall cat with a sandy coat in a very dignified suit and vest a black and silver fox stood next to the cat in a matching suit and vest as we reached then the two bow to us “captain the loft is ready a selection of food and pastry’s are set up in your office” he says as the fox pipes in “as well as a selection of drinks as well please may you and your gust enjoy” he..or maybe she says as Sally thanks them both before taken my hand and leading me to a elevator she inputs a command and we start moving “well Belle your in for a treat Jun is a very good cook and Cap knows how to make some amazing drinks some from just her imagination” she says then says again “oh I mean he’s imagination”
Moments later the elevator doors open to a short hallway leading to a door with a wheel handle on it and a name plate that reads “Sally’s Loft” she goes up to the door and opens it and beckons me in inside the room was amazing like a small apartment with two levels the top one was an office a curved deck with a flat screen terminal a glass case with models of sky ships and robots even a tall fish tank on one wall “WOW this place is more like an apartment then a cabin” I say as she leads me down to a seating space a sunken sofa with a table set with tea and snacks
As Sally and I talked I got to know her a very interesting woman she told me her father is the current major of Starlight City the place we were heading too as we talked some of the crew came to visit before a beep on Sally’s desk alerted us that we would be dropping out of tread space soon we reached flight deck just as The Rose emerged from thread space to the view of a sprawling deep blue ocean
As I took in the view two fighter’s pulled up alongside The Rose the two comet red fighters looked pretty advance forward swiped wings a slender mane body no singe of a cockpit maybe unmanned with twin pusher prop style engines with twin sky blue halo’s from the either drive as Lanlion comes up next to me “the ADF-1 Falken one of our nation’s most advance air craft” she says as a voice comes over the radio “this is major Saint John of Knot Hole defense flight crops welcome home Expedition Team your clear to land in hanger A-15” the pilot says before the fighters peel off
It only took us a little under half an hour to reach the sky port as The Rose maneuvered to line up with the track to the hanger I heard Nicole let out a gasp from my right I looked over she had a pair of binoculars to her eyes I came over to her placing a hand on her shoulder “you okay Nicole?” I ask as she looks at me “yeah I’m okay but looks like we may have company” she says handing me the binoculars looking I saw what she meant on a landing pad was a large sky ship in a gray red and white color’s the front of the ship was angular on a slope back from the front was two back swiped wings moving back I saw two large open hanger bay doors a short run way ramp extended out I saw what looks to be three or four mobile robots in the hanger in the other I saw what looked to be a full squadron of fighter plans all done in a white and violet or lavender color’s
As Mil maneuvered The Rose a voice came over the com’s “attaching flutter type aircraft at my nine o’clock alter your landing course is too close to restricted air space change course or you will be fired a pone” she says as a target lock alarm blared Mil was about to gun the engines when a new voice came over the com’s “stand down private” the voice says before coming back “I’m sorry for the action’s of one of my pilots I’m caption Hope Elric of the Minerva I hope your crew have a safe rest of your day” it didn’t take long to make it to our hanger Mil maneuvered The Rose into the docking cradle and shut the sky craft down we all meet up in the cargo bay as Sally hit a button and lowered the cargo ramp
As the ramp came to a rest a bevy of workers in jumpsuits rushed in and started looking over the ship as a stretch Limousine pulls in as a new set of workers in blue jumpsuits with the letters AA on their back and fronts rush on bored with a heavy lift car and start to move the Guncannon out of the cargo bay as a official looking woman in a very fancy suit with a clip bored walked her way over to Sally “miss Sally I’m Katherine from Anaheim Arcana” she says short cut orange hair waving in the breeze her green eyes scanned the cargo bay as the Guncannon was wheeled out as a tech came over with a read out “hummmm everything looks to be in order miss Sally The Chairmen will be in contact with….oh do you have a new crew member?” she says seeing me staring at the guncannon wheeling by I didn’t notes her walk up behind me “impressive isn’t she?” her words almost make me jump out of my skin “oh um….um..yes she is” I say trying to regain my composure as she reaches into her purse and pulls out a card “here if you ever want a change of work environment come to Anaheim Arcana” she says before walking away
Not long after that I found myself in the limo I sat between Sally and Nicole the two girls felt uptight but silent till I made the call to break it “so um…..ware are we going?” I say and oh boy that was a bad move on my part “how did she know?” came Nicole “I mean every time we get someone new she try’s and lure them away I mean ware did Amy even find her?” she says as Sally places a hand on Nicole’s leg “its okay Nicole you got to let it go you know things between them did not last long” she says calming Nicole down before looking at me a look of big sister kindness in her eyes “as for what you asked Belle were going to meet my father the mayor of Starlight City” she says as the limo pulled up the the steps of a two story building made of some kind of white and silver marble stone same for the tall columns looking like some kind of royal plashes as we stepped out and started to ascend the steps I saw that the steps were made of a dark gray colored granite shot troth with silver gold and platinum as we reached the doors I saw that a guard saw us and moved to open them and gave us a nod before closing the doors behind us
the inside of the building was amazing tall ceilings and columns made of the same granite as the steps we headed for an elegant elevator an operator took us to a third floor as the doors opened we were greeted by a long haul way exited Sally placed a few coins into the operators tip jar heading down the hall way we came to a desk manned by a cute goat boy in a stylish suit snow white fur pink eyes and a pair of pink horns who saw us and rushed over “Sally Nicole nice to see you girls I’m sure your dad will be happy to see you back home” he says as Sally and Nicole hug him making the goat boy blush not lasting long when he saw me and held out a hand to me “hello I’m Ralsei but please just call me Ral” he says as I shack his hand “nice to meet you I’m Belle”
after that the double doors to the majors office swing open and a tall chipmunk with long red hair tied in a simple pony tail came out and smiled at seeing Sally and Nicole “girls its so nice to see that your back safe and sound” she says and embraces Sally and Nicole in a warm hug as a male chipmunk came out of the office and offered a hand to me “hello I’m major Dale Anchors” he says as I shack his hand I was about to reply but he beat me to it “your Belle right?” he asked and I nodded that made him smile “I knew it you have your fathers bearing and your mothers gentle aura” he says the shocked look on my face must of told him a lot “how…how did you know my dad?” he smiles “come we have lots to talk about” he says leading all of us into his office “oh and Ral please cancel my afternoon appointments oh and also send out for some food and drinks as well” he says and Ral nods “you got it”
later that night I found myself at The Shooting Star dorms a cute Alpaca lady stood next to me leading me to my apartment she had introduced herself as Naomi a very pretty name almost as pretty as her lavender eyes she had the air of a mother or an aunt “okay then mister Belle room 418” she says with a smile and opens the door to the apartment it was small but cozy a nice sized living room a TV on one wall a kitchen even a small dining table and sofa a door on one wall leading to the bed room and bathroom as I entered the scent of freshly backed muffins hit my nose “oh and thires a basket of muffins for you and some chilled milk in the fridge welcome to the building” she says plating a kiss on my cheek before handing me the key after she left my new little friends popped up “ohhhh WOW now that Naomi she’s the type of milf I’d love to spend the night with and the next day” Kath says right before a flying kick from Kasumi hits him up side the head “Kath must you I mean “ she says as I get in between the two Fey-Beast’s “now now come on you two no fighting in the apartment”
I say as Kath slips by me and tackles Kasumi in mid air the two rolling around in the air before I reached out with my right hand and reached out with the same force magic I used on the Zaku and pulled the two apart as Amate floated next to me “okay you two were all going to be staying here for some time tell we can find a way to get to that castle the others told me they would try and find some way for us to get there but the Empire has the ways to that world on lockdown” I say as Amate nodded as the other two calmed down
Two weeks later I was eating breakfast in the dining hall as two cute deer girls sat at the same table as well one had light blond head fur and light brown body fur with small dark brown spots and deep blue eyes and the other was a bit taller with black head fur dark brown body fur with black spots and sky blue eyes “hay cutie mind if we join you?” the taller deer girl says the shorter one looking down in a shy manner as I look up at the taller one and nod “sure go ahead my names Belle” I say as the two girls smile “thanks Belle I’m Dess and this little sunbeam is my sister Noelle” Dess says as the two sit down as we talk and eat
My eyes go wide as Dess finished talking the mouth full of water I took almost came spewing out “wait wait she really did that?” I asked and both Dess and Noelle nodded “yeah she tried supping up our old fridge and we ended up with a deep freezer and our back yard was turned into an ice rink” she says with a laugh as Noelle blushes “t..that was a mistake on my part I mean the cooling talisman was over charged and..and” she trailed off as Milo and Nicole came over as Milo slapped me on the back “Hay Belle good to see your fitting right in you already have two pretty girls after you man you’re so lucky” he says as he and Nicole sit next to me and I introduce them to Dess and Noelle after a bit more chatting Dess tells us that she needs to help Noelle unpack she was moving into room 417 that was across the hall from me making Noelle and I neighbor’s
Later outside the dorms in a relaxing park “well I have to say Belle you have really settled in” Nicole says as Milo smiles “yeah Nicole did you see those two deer sisters a pair of cuties” he says as Nicole and I chuckle “hehe yeah Noelle is pretty cool shes studying to be an Arcano engineer” I say as Milo gets in front of me “my my has she caught your eye Belle?” Milo asked as my cheeks flush red “what no no I already have someone she’s…..she’s” I trail off as Nicole places a hand on my shoulder and gives Milo a dirty look “she’s out helping gather aid to fight the empire” she says and I nod at her worlds Milo’s cocky smile falls as he comes in and hugs me “im sorry Belle i..i didn’t know”
After a few moments the hugs were broken and Milo places both hands on my shoulders “hay I’m sure you will see her again Belle this war will not go on forever” he says as the sound of clapping came from a park bench as we turn I see a pink hedgehog in a very classy red and white dress her head fur in long tendrils on the side to her shoulders two braids on the sides of her head going to the back with a red and white bow tying it all together she stands up a pair of pink and white heeled shoes tapping on the cobble stones “welcome you three showed up right on time just as the card’s predicted” she says as Nicole puts her hands on her hips “Really Amy? you and those crazy cards of yours” she says as Amy motions for us to join her at a table “now now Nicole the cards were the ones that helped me decide to use your team to help test the Guncannon” she says but then eyes Nicole “but I am a bit disappointed that you took the Guncannon into combat with that Zaku” she says but then in a flash she smiled again “but I’m happy to say the data that you gathered is very much appreciated and it shows that our Mobile Robots can stand toe to toe with the empires Zaku”
As Amy smiles a fox in a fancy suit came over a palter in one man “Chairmen Amy lunch is severed” he says in a well mannered voice “ah thank you Walter this looks yummy” Amy says and Walter nods “thank you lunch today are sandwich’s turkey roast beef with lattice and tomato light mustard and mayo for sides I packed coleslaw and coin chips lightly fried with light spices all homemade along with fresh berry juice’s enjoy” he says before walking off “mmmmm all of this looks so tasty Milo says as Nicole pours out some glasses of juice as Amy hands out sandwich’s as we eat small talk popped up here and there as one slowed Amy looked at me “well your Belle right?” she asked and I nodded and she smiles “good its nice to put a face to the name “ she says before looking at my family ring on my right hand as she nods “oh I see now okay now that our bellies are full we can move onto business”
As she says and reaches into a nap sake and pulls out a flat dice like device and placed it on the table “okay now hares what I wanted to show you all” she says pulling a remote from a pocket and tapping a button as an image appeared just above the dice it appeared to be a camera feed from a mobile robot in the sky “okay this is a main cam feed from our new model GM mobile robot testing out a new flight unite” she says as the video play’s the pilot took the robot into some clouds a bit of rain started to cover the video but started to clear as the pilot broke into clear sky’s and the video stopped “okay were almost to the stop but let me turn the sound on so you can hear the pilot” as the video restarted the voice of the pilot came in clear “This is BD-01 to Twilight I’m over the Orion mountain range all system’s are in the green and……..wait my scanners are picking up an either spike” he says as the voice of the mission commander came over the line “Twilight to BD-01 yes were seeing it as well but its not either its mana looks like its coming from…….Mount Artemis come on back we don’t want to lose BD unit 1 I’m sure the chairmen would have out hides if lost it “ came the mission leader’s voice as the pilot came back “copy that base Twilight I’m heading back”
the pilot says before Amy’s voice comes in “Angel to BD-01 and base ship Twilight cancel that return” came Amy’s voice as the mission lead’s voice cut in “chairmen with all due respect we can’t risk Unit1 being damaged we don’t know what that amount mana could do to unit1’s systems or even the pilot I “ “enough” came Amy’s voice stern and commanding “I designed unit1 I know it can handle that much mana I added extra shielding to the cockpit blister just in case of something like this bu we will send out two scout scoots to help map out the mountain” the video ends with Amy looking down at her hands “i……I’m sorry you all saw me in a rare moment my…..my passion for discovery overrode my common since but this is what we got BD-01 and our scoots took video of the mountain” she says pulling out a single photo as she slide’s it over
A day later a knock at my door brute me back to the here and now my mind was running over the picture for not sure how meant times it was but what I knew was I had to get up there Kath sat perch on my shoulder I could tell he was thinking about the photo as well the image showed a structure tall climbs made of some dark gray almost black stone but that was not as impressive as a dagger that Amy showed us in a sealed cylinder a crest was visible on the hilt it depicted a star over two sets of angel wings just under them was a single wing but this one looked like it had been skinned the long wing bones on full display that night Kath told me that was the crest of my family the Lucis Caelum my mother had told me a little about that part of my family but it was in low tones after making sure no one was listening in I didn’t understand way but last night I found out way Kath had told me that the family line of Lucis Caelum was often called the Star Cursed family it was said that ones ever five or six generation’s one member of the family would be the one to free the worlds of the cures of The Umbral Star that happened about ten thousand years ago and to this day no star sickness has been documented
Opening the door to my flat I saw Milo a very pissed off looking Nicole cheery looking Lanolin and a very happy looking Katherine “hi Belle you ready?” came Milo’s voice as Kat looked at me a very lovely smile on her face “hi hi Belle looks like I’m going to join you guys on this exploration trip” she says as Nicole grumbles a little “yeah right like we needed your help” Nicole says as Lanolin claps her on the back “come on Nicole this is going to be fun so lets get going Belle Milo has his van full of camping gear and food” later on the road I was stuffed in the back on Milo’s van Kat just across from me Kath on my left shoulder and Kasumi on my right shoulder as Nicole and Lanolin sat up front with Milo as we neared the sky port Kat taped my foot with the toe of her boot “say Belle i….i wanted to ask you something” she says in a soft voice as I look at her “sure go ahead Kat” I say with a smile as Kat looks a me a slight blush to her cheeks as she looks at me again “i..i’m really looking forward to working with you and the others Belle”
After a bit more driving we arrived at the sky port at a privet entrance the guard waved us in as Milo called back “okay hanger B33 “ he says after a bit more driving we found the hanger the door had a letter taped to it with my name in a stylish script as I opened the letter I got a whiff of flowery perfume as I read a stylish looking usb key stick feel into my hand “dear Belle thank you again for taken on this job for me I have added an extra down payment on your reward I came to posses this rather stylish sky ship I believe it was meant for you but I think you and Katherine will enjoy it love Amy Rose Chairmen Anaheim Arcana” my eyebrow raised at the last few words as the main hanger door starts to open I look down at the key stick in my hand it was a dark gray almost black long short rectangle at the top was a pair of angel wings formed a ring attached to it was a pink and blue leather strap to wear around my neck “ohhhhhh that looks so pretty Belle here lets me put it on you” Nicole says draping the strap over my head as Kat giggles “yeah Nicole’s right that dose look good on you Belle”
As the hanger doors open all the way the site of a G9 Rigger light Freighter meet our eyes as I took a step I heard Kat make a squee of delight at the site as we rounded the back we saw that the ramp to the cargo bay was down waiting for Milo’s van he’s Mobil Robot was already loaded as well as an extra one under a tarp after helping Milo drive the van up the ramp before we headed to the cockpit as the main door opened onto the square room four seats greeted us two in the front and on to the left and right moving to take the left pilots seat I saw Kat take the copilots seat I was surprised to see her “I’m more then just a test pilot and a pretty face” she says as I chuckle “okay everyone lets take the Twilight Wing for a spin” I say inserting the key as the ship powered up I heard Nicole talking to flight control as she turned with a thumbs up to me then Lanolin nodded to me “flight paths all clear” she says as I took us out of the hanger before lowering the out rigger to flight mode before pushing the throttle forward as we leaped into the sky
As we left Starlight city behind a beep from the nave computer told me that we were on the right course after a half hour more of flying the Orion Mountain rang came into view and just beyond it Mount Artemis our final destination
