Sorry for the late post! We're still getting back into the swing of things.

Personally, I prefer the shorter length pasta. I like to twirl it on my fork, but I don't want to pick up half the plate in one go.

It gives me tiny anxiety to break pasta because the pasta is manufactured that way and I feel like I'm misusing it. My emotions are dumb.

Most Italians would wince and curse if they saw someone doing that, too. Of course, that wouldn't bother this southern redneck. I'd break the full-length pasta in half so it would fit in the pot I'm cooking it in.
