This is the map I'll be using for when I get to writing and illustrating more Little Bear stories (and a small game to get practice for the Talespin game, I haven't forgot). Since I been re-watching all the Little Bear episodes and essentially going full Film Theory mode on them, I've found quite a bit of stuff that most people would have missed or not picked up on.

One being that Little Bear's house is missing his room from the outside in most of the episodes that show their house. Mother and Father Bear's bedroom is always shown, but Little Bear's room... missing.
Also the house doesn't have enough storage spaces for all the stuff they have that's shown through the episodes, like the bath tub, all their clothes, books, and various other things. So when I get to drawing the background plates since AI is too random on those, I'll be adding his room as well as a proper detached bathroom since washtubs are sooo last season ;p

Another being the year the show was set in, or at least my own interpretation of it. In one of the episodes, Little Bear has lost his crayons around the house, and one of them being a blue one, which matches the same color as the blue crayons only made after 1935. Also Father Bear's boat having a engine with a key and a electric starter in A Whale Of A Tale (see Blue Hill Island). Which was what I found first so I knew at least after around 1912 or so since electric starters didn't exist before then, then I found the crayon episode and that sealed the deal... thanks single lost blue crayon!

And I also found out Little Bear's rough age, that being around 9 or 10 years old. Going off the flash back segments of some of the episodes, where he meets Owl and Duck, he appears to be around 4 when he meets Owl and 5 when he meets Duck. He meets Emily when he was about 7, then she left to go to school and came back the next year, and that's when Uncle Rusty and everybody helps build her and Granny a house. So he'd be right around 8 at that point.
I've gotten a rough timeline made that seems to work, with a few holes still in it, but he'd be right around 9 years old at the end of season 5.
The wiki says he's 6, but I think that's going off season 1, which in the second episode he has a birthday, so he'd already 7 by then but I'm surprised there was even any sort of continuity to go off of. Its very subtle and well hidden.

And Knothole Creek is my own addition to the world. The episode where Little Bear wants to give Emily a red balloon shows a town and Emily's actual house, and because it fits with my idea to tie Talespin into this map (the cut off castle name in the top left is a nod to a certain episode of Talespin if you know which one I'm talking about ;p )
The name being inspired by Knothole Glade from Fable 1, since if you've ever listened to the Fable 1 music tracks, they're quite similar to Little Bear, albeit a bit more sombre. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pn44HkLqUI&t=21s case in point, this one being my favorite. And since there's gonna be a whole host of NSWF stories coming out of this. Knot-hole... Knotted butthole ;p  cheeky little nod to one story idea I have.

I found a program called Wonderdraft that is a pretty cool fantasy map making program. And it makes making them so much easier than trying to hand draw them in photoshop, even with the stencil brushes, they never quite looked right and half the time I was just trying to get them to work right, although Photoshop probably isn't the best program for maps like this anyway.

Map made by me using ^Wonderdraft, no AI was used.

Wow, amazing. Since the show only views cartain places at a time, it's nice to see how it all looks on a map

Thanks <3

There's lots of small details to be found around it too, like the waterfall Little Bear and Father Bear climbed up in the top of the world episode.

My fave is Under The Covers where Mother Bear tickles Little Bear

Funny you should say that, because I watched that one last night before going to bed and had a good idea for a story with that same premise. Where Little Bear gets into bed like in the episode, but gets lost under the covers, and goes under Mother Bear's night gown instead... and I won't spoil the rest, that'll be for the full story ;)

Ah nice. And maybe for the next one, could try the tickling idea I mean, if your ai can do that.

Oh there will be tickling in the first story, I'll work it in since I hadn't forgotten about what you'd said about it way back.
I'm pretty sure I can do it with my AI, there is a custom motion animation workflow I've had shelved that can do fine grained movement, last I tried, I made a walk cycle for Little Bear in his rain coat, it was in slow motion but that's a easy fix by speeding the video up. I'm pretty sure it can do some tickling 😉

Wow great job this looks cool I’m Looking forward to seeing what little bear will do and look like playing with his penis in the game. What about the episode is underwater and swimming with the mermaid

Thanks ;3
There'll be something like that in the game, that's why Mermaid Coast is on the map. I know you like the under water stuff, so I was thinking about adding Little Bear and Father Bear being on the ocean and eventually he ends up underwater kinda like the animations I made a while back, just more refined and interactive for the game.

I really love how much detail you've gone into with making everything fit nicely here, clearly have a lot of love for this show and it's characters <3 I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do with this! It's interesting to note that blue crayons were only made after 1935 - I had always dated Little Bear to be set in the pioneer times, but what you said makes more sense. I've never seen plastic in the show, but then they do at one point have bubblegum which is a 1928 invention. So I would estimate that the show happened right before WW2 or there abouts? Although in this universe I don't actually like to believe that war exists. Anyway, ranting - much love for what you are doing, nice to see someone giving this franchise some love <3

Its quite literally my favorite show, even surpassing Talespin now that I've been re-watching it for the first time in ages :)

I always thought it was pioneer times too until I really started looking for any sort of tell on a rough date, I already knew it was at least in the early 1900s since they have a record player in a few episodes (that's one thing I forgot to add initially), and that cars and their tires exist because in the episode 'A House for Mitzi', they put up a tire swing for her. I didn't know there was bubblegum mentioned though, but good for letting me know, that reinforced my estimate. <3

My interpretation on the war part would be that it was always in far off lands and they just have toy soldiers and stories they tell to the kids about the heros and villains abroad.

Two of my favorite shows also. I am watching Talespin too although Little Bear is definitely a better show to watch right before bed, Talespin has a bit too much energy and the longer episodes take a toll on my attention span at that time of day XD

The bubblegum episode is called "Balloon Heads" - Season 4 episode 7 you can thankfully find them all on YouTube.

There is also a Little Bear movie, I'm not sure if you've seen?! Hope you enjoy watching all of them, and also rewatching Talespin too. Kit/Little Bear are my two all time favorite bear cub characters, I can't wait to see what you do with the crossover.

Oh yeah I've probably seen the movie at least 50+ times through the years, I even bought it on DVD a while back (used to only have the VHS tape of it) then upscaled it to 1080p so I could make my Little Bear character LoRA.

If you're read my Babysitting Molly story, there is very subtle nod to Father Bear before Kit and Baloo get into the elevator to see Mister Khan, so there's already a seed for the cross over planted ;p (I plan on re-doing that story at some point since I was going off old memories of the show at the time, I was getting mix signals from Darkwing Duck bleeding over into Talespin xD)
