The wooden cabin was small and smelled of age and moisture, but the two friends needed shelter to spend the night. The temperature outside had dropped significantly, leaving both of them wet and shivering. They closed the door behind them and started stripping the wet clothes off in order to change into dry ones they had packed for the trek.

A grey-furred rat with a runny nose and a terrible habit of biting his fingernails when stressed, sat curled up in an armchair trying to keep himself warm. He looked up as his fellow traveler, a snow leopard with thick fur and a luxurious tail, completely unbothered by the cold, was sitting on the floor in his boxers rubbing his sore paws.

They've been hiking for hours now, and their feet have taken a beating. He couldn't help but notice the snep's massive, fur-insulated paws and thick toes. The snep was purring softly as he massaged his soles and toe digits, unaware of his friend's indiscreet gaze. "You tracked in half the mountain, you big goof," the rat squeaked, completely forgetting that he almost died from hypothermia. "Come on, let’s see them!". The snep let out a soft, purring huff. He rotated on his butt to face the mischievous rat, lifting both massive paws to reveal what was hiding beneath.
