I've still got a long, long way to go obviously. I'm only just now mastering the front-facing portrait, and I'm still struggling with any other angles. And the line work is simply awful. I want a sketchy style, sure, but not like this :3

Still, it's lookin pretty good all things considered.

I think of learning to draw like learning a language. Having taught myself to code all those moons ago, I know it's possible to learn a new language no matter how different it might seem from the ones you already speak. So long as you immerse yourself in it, your brain can't help but build new pathways every time you use it. And after all: it takes 10000 hours to become a master, but only 100 to get the basics and 1000 to get competent.
