Fumgus, Deep Black Levi-Lake, Spike's Battlefield, Chrono Cross Intro (Seaponies page 4 panel 1), hell everything on page 4, 5-2 and 5-4 (and the Canterlot Castle street and gates)-
You know what all of these are really great and they only keep getting better and better and better through it. 6-3 makes me wonder if it's a small mountain city under an eclipse. Is 6-1 the desert where Klugetown is? That zeppelin fucks.
Each page I'm honestly just more in awe. Is 8-3 a library full of artifacts? Is 8-1 a school? Is that a statue of Spike and Starswirl?
Also I adore that you didn't just stop at the backgrounds you also went out of your way to make sure they looked like beautifully planned photographs where each detail and spatial geometry and line is curated for maximum effect. It's like very subtle impact frames but for environment. Big, BIG fan.
