A quick sketch as a tribute to @90sfun05, who asked me to draw this character for so long that they ended up drawing it themselves first—with excellent results.
In this heat, I’m not physically up to doing a full illustration, but I can say a few words about this character, whom I hadn't known before.
Ginny’s role is essentially that of an elf in a D&D campaign (even though she’s a centaur): a fairly humanoid, skilled creature—an archer, in fact—but with a supernatural touch, who assigns a quest to our heroes.
How could a character like this fit into a Sonic game or comic, in line with modern canon?
Three possibilities come to mind:
A game in the Storybook series. In this case, she’d be a classic centaur—woman on top, horse on the bottom—serving as the game’s tutorial companion. She’d likely have some sort of emotional trauma for our hero to help resolve—just like every female figure in those games. We’ve seen toxic relationships and grief, so Ginny would probably need to learn a lesson about pride or something similar.
A second possibility: a classic archer character—no horse half—perhaps a wolf wielding a long-range weapon... a very familiar setup.
A third option: this version here, a greyhound centaur. I don’t think IDW would introduce a creature like this, but it would be fun to have an adventure where the heroes play D&D and this becomes one of their characters. I can picture Tails as the Dungeon Master, with Blaze or Whisper playing this character.
