Mark joins Tom to finish their homework together-- and at least lets his friend know that nothing really did happen to him. It was just Jake being a jerkface for the millionth time. Perhaps, after homework, Mark would like to do something that should be over with in two hours, and he won't get engrossed in until 2AM. Might at least help with his sleep schedule.
