Chapter 2
“The exertion of aura can feel like the softest kiss or the hardest punch”
A cold energy surrounded me as I listened to my mother’s teachings. They were always shrewd but, loving in the best kind of way. I decided to ignore the energy even though it was growing closer.
“Louis, Get closer.” My caregiver said as calmly as she could
My mother knew It was getting closer. Although blind, she had a Knack for using her aura sense that all Lucario had. Soon it felt like an earthquake and rumbling came from behind the trees.
“The ground is shaking. I’m scared.”
“I know, I’ll keep you safe. Don’t worry.”
A barrage of Rhydon came bursting from the brush, making no plans to stop anytime soon. She held them off though any that got close enough she grabbed by the horn and steered them away. One of them came at us with too much momentum and she just couldn’t stop it. She was impaled by the charging beast. It stopped, realizing what it had done.
“Take care of your sister, Louis” she pleaded as blood spurt from her mouth.
“Mom! Don’t leave me! Please!” I knew she wasn’t going to make it.
“Louis!”
“Mom?” I awoke to see my sister in a panicked state. And got up from th hard wood floor of the abandoned house o had slept on.
“What’s wrong? Are you OK?”
“No! It’s an emergency! Someone broke in!” I got in a battle ready stance.
“Stay here!”
“OK! Be careful” she was scared out of her mind.
I sensed other auras in the vicinity. I told my companion to stay in the room and away from the windows. As I slowly advanced towards the stairs I heard various rustles and creaks. I got down the stairs I saw our assaulters. They were wolves, Damn wolves. There was going to be a struggle I can tell. I’ve modified my own bone rush and instead of a “Bone” I’ve fashioned my exerted aura into a sword. This was both to scare and damage my enemies.
The attackers were somewhat to a gangster effect to their attire.
“What are you doing in our hideout? Do you want to be killed?” They threatened.
“This is our place of refuge now. Leave or be forced from the premises.” I snapped.
“Ah, we can take ‘em boys come on!”
“So Be it.” I sighed
I didn’t want to fight. I didn’t want to hurt anyone but if needed, I will. There malicious attempts were repelled and were countered with forceful strikes from the back of the blade. Knocking them to the floor and scaring them enough to back off.
“If you persist I will no longer be using the back of the blade.” I held the blade towards them.
“Forget this place. You can have it!” they yelled as they left.
I ran upstairs to the room were Elisa was.
“Are you Ok! I was so scared.” She said as she hugged me.
“No problem.” I didn’t like the how close we were but her aura was so… positive so I endured it.
I felt more uncomfortable than I have ever been.
