Episode 58: Tech expo
At the tech expo.
"Aaarrrggghh... Why should I always be the bait?!" Maxtone whined, felt annoyed with what he was wearing at that time.
At that time, Maxtone was wearing a clown puppy clothes, complete with a red nose and floppy shoes.
"It's the only way to draw the crowd, Maxtone," Jerony's voice coming from the communication device on his pup-tag "you're the best at crowd control, and we need a distraction while we sneak in."
On the other side, Jerony and the gang were already in position, their eyes scanning the bustling expo.
"Listen, Maxtone... You only have to perform a little, just enough to keep them distracted," Jerony whispered, holding a small microphone to his mouth.
"But don't like this again, Master," Maxtone mumbled, his voice barely audible through Jerony's earpiece "I'm not a circus puppy."
"Listen carefully... You're now a clown puppy in this story scenario, just make a scene, Maxtone... You'll know what I mean," Jerony whispered into the microphone.
"Uurrggghh... Alright," Maxtone sighed, stepping into the spotlight.
He began to perform a clumsy, exaggerated juggling act with a set of glowing orbs.
The crowd's attention was drawn to him instantly, their laughter and applause growing louder with each mishap.
Meanwhile, Jerony and the other puppies began to move through the expo, sticking to the shadows and using Lynna's holographic projections to blend in with the flashy tech displays.
The expo was a labyrinth of lights and sounds, making it the perfect place to lose themselves in the chaos.
"Alright, Cyber Ghost Trio... Let's move," Jerony commanded, as Maxtone's clown performance grew more ludicrous, drawing in an even larger audience.
Luna, Lynna, and Hershell nodded in unison, their eyes focused on the mission at hand.
Luna's tail wagged with excitement as she began to hack into the expo's security system.
"The mainframe is heavily encrypted," she murmured to herself, her paws flying over the virtual keyboard.
"Keep trying, Luna... We need to know where that data is," Jerony's voice whispered through her earpiece.
Maxtone's performance grew more frantic as he dropped the balls and pretended to trip over his oversized shoes.
The crowd's laughter grew, giving Jerony and the puppies enough cover to sneak into a restricted area.
Meanwhile, Lynna and Hershell trying to stay hidden, began setting up a series of holographic diversions.
They knew that if they could keep the security guards distracted, it would be much easier for Luna to hack into the system without getting caught.
After a few minutes, a sleek gate opened silently, and Jerony with the puppies slipped through, their hearts pounding in their chests.
They found themselves in a hallway filled with rows of server racks, the hum of technology the only sound breaking the silence.
Meanwhile, Maxtone still doing his clumsy clown act as he could see Jerony and the other puppies disappear into the restricted area.
He knew he had to keep the audience's attention a bit longer. With a sigh, he picked up the balls again, trying to keep his nerves in check.
He threw them up into the air, only for them to bounce off the walls and hit the floor with a clatter.
The audience roared with laughter, completely oblivious to the serious mission unfolding behind the scenes.
Meanwhile, in the server room, Luna's heart racing as she finally cracked the encryption.
"Got it, Master! The data is in the central server," she whispered, her eyes glued to the glowing screen.
"Oh gosh, look at that..." Jerony murmured, his eyes widening as he looked at the screen "the data is connected to the bomb under the stage... Elena and Cooper would blow up the entire expo if we don't stop them."
Jerony felt the tension, his heart racing as he saw the digital countdown.
"Half an hour," Anna read out the digital countdown on the screen, "we have to move fast."
