This is based on a story called the Emperor's New Clothes. Apparently some con men trick an emperor into believing they're weaving him an outfit that would be invisible to those who are stupid. He gets it made for him and does a procession where everyone can see him in his underwear until a child blurts out that he's not wearing anything. Everyone repeats it but the emperor doesn't wish to admit he's been duped.
I don't really understand this story. Why would anyone want an outfit that'd be invisible *at all*. Who cares if the people who can't see it are stupid? That emperor is an idiot. And now Elias got tricked into wearing a diaper thinking it was magically inclined to make him look cool to people when it's just a diaper. Dummy.
