Here's the progression for Hethkar's weapon choices, starting with sword and shield and going through to the warshield, and to Wolf's Tail (which, being a sentient weapon capable of changing shape to serve its wielder, is also a warshield). The retrieval of Wolf's Tail is nowhere near the end of Hethkar's story, but it does mark his achieving the peak of his power. The seal on it is the Eternity Seal; I'll leave the significance of it being the only thing I colored and not having its own shadow to your imagination for now. xD
