I turned my old Plessie sculpt into a physical figure. This was 3D printed in 4 parts on a resin printer.
I got some new paints and brushes and did my best. Sorry if the photos aren't very good.

I've been struggling with the fact that spending ages on a 3D model and just ending up with a 2D render is a soul-crushing waste of time, so I wanted to focus on stuff that plays into 3D's strengths.

Came out lovely honestly

But what do you mean exactly by only ending up with a 2D render for the 3D model?

Making and rendering a 3d model for a picture can take 10x or even 100x more time than just drawing/coloring the picture, and people generally like the drawn picture more. Models can save some time with reuse but it's less than you'd think. So if I'm not using 3d for things only 3d can do, I'm wasting a huge amount of time for worse results.

I suppose that makes sense.

So you're going to try focusing on 3D prints?

Maybe 3d prints, animations, and comics. I haven't really figured it out honestly.
