June was really fuckin' hard. Late overnight or early morning May 26, my kitty slipped out a second story window that hadn't been latched. That day and every day thereafter we went out searching for him. We connected with a local animal location rescue, who helped us with tools, tips, and even brought out a search dog.
Finally, last week, after 3 weeks of searching, we found him and got him home. ^_^ He's been very sleepy, and lost a lot of weight, but his appetite is good, and the vet (we brought him to the vet's the day after we found him to get him checked over for anything we might have missed, removing a tick, and getting flea and tick treatment) says he's young and healthy, and will bounce back over the next few weeks.
So that's taken up a shit-ton of my time and energy. ^_^ I'm super glad he's home, and super glad I got to finish this scene.

I have spent YEARS of my life at this point drawing schoolbuses, not for love of the game, but because MY STUPID ASS DECIDED TO SET SEVERAL IMPORTANT SCENES OF MY BIG DUMB PASSION PROJECT ON OR AROUND THEM. Here writer me thought it'd be setting appropriate, and a cool juxtaposition to the craziness that's actually happening in this story...DRAWING ME HAS TO DEAL WITH THAT! DAMMIT, WRITER ME!

Utilized several sound effects from Freesound.org, and I think it all came together well! URLs to the sounds I sourced are listed below. For background soundtrack, I went with Fakery Way for Twinkle Park from Sonic Adventure 1, cuz it's nicely tense and ominous!
