Zane Serrik (typically goes simply by just "Zane") is a trans male Gabite who earns his living as a bodyguard and mercenary, taking on everything from long-term protection contracts to dangerous caravan escorts. Quiet, disciplined, and fiercely dependable, he believes trust is earned through action rather than words. Though often reserved and blunt, those who earn his respect find a steadfast ally whose loyalty runs far deeper than he readily admits.
Born with uncommon charcoal-brown scales and a vivid red underbelly, Zane carries numerous scars from years spent surviving jobs gone wrong. The most recognizable mark, however, is the notch in his dorsal fin, a deliberate choice that, to him, represents not injury, but self-determination. He refuses to hide it.
Despite his hardened exterior, Zane is deeply shaped by a lifelong desire to be seen for who he truly is. He doesn't seek admiration or sympathy; only recognition. While slow to trust and uncomfortable with vulnerability, he quietly longs for the rare people who look past appearances and simply see him as he has always known himself to be.

I worked hard to develop Zane to be both respectful and interesting in his own right. I always found the concept of dimorphism in Pokemon interesting (like Pikachu's tail) so I decided to make my own!
