Imagine witnessing this as the snail.
Being approached by a curious young pup, you see the sandals getting closer and closer to you. Then the large rubber and leather sandals, slightly dirtied and the large brown soles are large. You first feel very lucky not to be crushed. But the small curious pup pick you up, you see his large curious blue eyes staring at you, then an idea come in his mind, as you try to shelter inside your shell he is playful.
Rockruff then drop the snail, one time, two, three, look at how the snail ends up afterward with curiosity, the snail fall and smah inbetween the two massive foot of the young pup, and is picked again.
Eventually the snail doesn't look like anything, Rockruff think that it's enough, he decides to end the snail by putting it in his insoles and smashing it one last time with his heel, keeping it like that. He is happily laughing at the funny tickling feel of the chill goo, the shell bits, it feels funny on his soft soles. Then he just leave, with a bit more of shell knowledge.

This is a more dark comic, i love the blend of the very cute pup and the very cruel things he's doing (of course don't actually do this in real life, as i also never did this, i don't kill bugs except mosquitos). Hope you enjoy the more cruel side of Rockruff.
