Not sure. That was my initial thoughts, but I believe he may have dodged and leapt? The blades disappeared from the body as well.

i think that rah'jan's «cure» keeps only what is still useful for his scopes
of who were innocent victims or also enemies (see linus' ... brother? i forgot);
a deep, radical brainwashing made by a superior power. clearly symbolic. :-|
