I live in Chicagoland and see plenty of Canadian National freight trains on the local tracks. Admittedly they own the Illinois Central line. And the lines are not going anywhere near Mexico.

Soccer doesn't have the popularity in the USA that it does in the rest of the world. Football, basketball, baseball, etc. are more popular. And even with all the talk about being "left behind", it is nothing more than empty words. We've heard it all before and we will again. Mexico isn't stopping sending people over the Rio Grande river. If they did, they would have to make real reforms to their country. Yes, I heard actual Mexicans say this.

Ironically I've seen videos of people on YouTube talking about going to the USA for the World Cup saying that they liked the visit after all. Quite a change from hearing the people who said they would never go there.
