It was Father's Day at the Goodwood Road and Racing Club, and the club members who were also fathers were privileged to let their kids have full access to the pit area and all the cars featured in the races. The Jaguar-Land Rover Automotive Plant where Johnathan Lane works knows this and had lent him two of their vintage Jaguars: an E-Type for the leisurely laps on the track and an XK140 for the more serious racing. They know better than to let him race with the kids in their cars for fear of lawsuit liabilities. But the CEO of the plant knows his daughter Abbey loves racing and can handle going fast in just about any car. So a few of the employees follow the Lane family to the track to find out for themselves. They soon find out that Abbey can handle being in a fast car, leaning into the turns with her father and waving her arms in the air like she was on a roller coaster. After the ride, the co-workers have a few choice apologies to give the two of them. "I'm just wondering how she handle you driving that fast?" one of them asks. "I guess it just came naturally to her," replies a shoulder-shrugging Johnathan, "When she was a baby, one of her first words was 'fast'." "Little lady," he says to Abbey, "you would certainly do the company proud."
