Normaly when little children bring animals back home and beg to keep them it´s a street cat or a dog. Sometimes even an oppossum or raccon. But much to the despair of his mother, Wren has a far bigger interest in insects. The larger then better for him. Maybe this time he can convince her to keep his new friend.
If he can keep his new friend with many legs, how should he name him?

reminds me of the pets of one Nightingale Mooncrest received as gifts from her 'Aunt' Mercy.
to quote a conversation with her mother:

"I miss L’il Vlad…” I sighed.

“There was no way you were keeping a giant, bloodhound-sized bat.”

“…and Mister Wrigglesworth…”

“The venom-spitting snake was an even worse idea.”

“…and Sir Goosifer Quackasalot….”

“It wasn’t a goose, Night. It had teeth."

I remember bringing a bunch of earthworms home in my pockets. Well I could keep them, but mom used them for fishing shortly after.

I once brought a street cat home, but she sadly run off, when she saw our family dog.

Centipede!! <3

Centi works for for a name xD

Reminds me that my mom did let me keep a ~3 inch long brown millipede/catepillar that loved to curl into a ball.

Turned out it shot out tiny hairs doing that in defense and my hands were itching afterwards Dx

jokes aside as much as centipedes FREAK ME THE FUCK OUT i mean borderline Phobia levels... this is an incredibly cute picture And I am somehow NOT afraid of this one...

a testament to the artist somehow making that MONSTROSITY cute enough that I do not want to kill it or run screaming away from it.

Indeed. Got to say, if real centipedes would grow that tall a lot more boys would probably love them as pet. XD
