Galactic Sunshine
By Sokz
The smell of summer drifted in the air as Chebi and Chuchubie skipped through the forest path. Sunlight glimmered off the stones embedded in the ground as leaves moved above them, jostled by the faint breeze. It was a beautiful day, the exact type the pair loved to enjoy by smiling, giggling, and playing.
Chebi hopped ahead, bouncing through a few bushes, then over a hill into an area she had not explored before. She bounded through a dense thicket of trees, hopped over a fallen log, then emerged into a glade nestled deep in the forest. On the other side was a cave built into a small hillside. Something glowed from within, shedding a faint purple light onto the grasses and wildflowers around its opening.
Chebi's petals bristled as she stepped forward, her eyes wide in fascination. She never thought something like this was in her forest! It didn't look like the home of another Pokemon either. The Ursaring liked caves, but they didn't have such a strange glow. A fire type might be able to make a light like that, but there weren't many in the forest.
Chuchubie hopped through the bushes and nearly bumped into her friend. She tilted her head when she saw the cave. Though she was curious, she was more cautious than her companion and took a step back.
Chebi looked between her Cherrim friend and the cave, then made a decision. She took Chuchubie's hand in hers and walked toward the entrance. Though Chuchubie protested at first, she followed.
The inside of the cave was cool and quiet. They walked deeper until the purple glow emanated from all around them, originating from crystals stuck into the stone walls. They were interesting. Chebi peered closer at them and even poked one with her finger. It sparkled and glowed. What were these things?
Chuchubie was more hesitant, but she hopped along. She paused when she came to a giant crystal at the heart of the cave. It was so bright that she had to shield her eyes as she approached, and when she reached out to touch it, she felt a slight tingling at the end of her finger.
She poked the crystal, and it responded with a surge of radiance and energy. Chuchubie stumbled back as her body began to change. The power of the Dynamax den surged into her and made her grow larger and larger. Her head pressed against the top of the cavern, then it burst through as another growth spurt shot her to heights that could rival the tallest trees in the forest.
By the time it finished, she stood above the small glade as a true giant. Her glittering eyes looked around the forest from her view above the tops of the trees. It was amazing! She had never seen things from this perspective before.
She giggled when she looked down and found her friend near her feet with her arms crossed. Chebi had avoided all of the falling stones and rubble from the sudden transformation, but she wasn't happy about being the small one between them, especially since the size difference was so massive. She was barely the size of a bug!
But Chebi had a plan. Sunlight poured down on her, and she let her petals absorb all of its energy. The pearl around her neck began to glow as it absorbed more and more sun. Once she had enough energy, she let it flow into her and change her form. Just as Chuchubie had done, Chebi began to grow.
Her body expanded until she reached Chuchubie's knees, then her rounded belly, then the bottom of her head, then their sparkling eyes met. They were the same size, both titans amongst a world of very tiny Pokemon.
And they loved it! They took each other's hands as they smiled and laughed about the sudden change to their world. They were once tiny little Cherrim skipping through the forest. Now they looked down on the trees that once felt so immovable and imposing. They laughed at the thought as they turned toward the surrounding woods.
Chebi was the first to jump into the trees. Her leg kicked forward and smashed a few of the mighty oaks that rested on the edge of the clearing. Their trunks shattered and turned to splinters as easily as Rock Smash breaks through pebbles. When her foot came down, it caused a shockwave that bristled bushes, broke the path to shambles, and sent bird Pokemon flying into the air for miles all around.
She turned back to her friend, who still stood in the center of the glade with a mixed expression. Chuchubie was so excited about everything that happened, but she couldn't just go trampling through the forest... or could she? What was going to stop her? It felt mean to do, but she was a giant now. She was a titan, and if she wanted to have fun by stomping through some trees and knocking over a few plants, how was that bad?
With her heart racing, she moved toward the nearest trees and slammed them with her belly. The wood cracked, the branches shattered, and the roots failed. With a wonderfully satisfying sound, the tree fell.
She giggled as she looked at Chebi, who gave her a wink and a thumbs-up in answer.
Together, the pair hopped and skipped through the woods, breaking and demolishing anything that happened to be in their way. Tiny Pokemon scampered to avoid their footfalls as hundreds of trees toppled under their might. With each step and each broken piece of the landscape, the pair grew larger. Soon they doubled the height of the trees, then they tripled them. Each stomp became more impactful than the last, until they couldn't even tiptoe without obliterating a huge section of the forest.
An Ursaring tried to stop them at one point, but Chebi stepped on it without even realizing. It was once the strongest Pokemon in the entire region, but now it was as meaningful as a bug that wandered into the wrong path.
After playing and skipping through the woods for hours, Chebi and Chuchubie let themselves rest. They lay down, crushing thousands of trees under their backs as they sprawled out in the sun.
This was amazing. They were the biggest Pokemon to ever exist, and they were still growing larger. Chuchubie moved her hand back and forth over the trees near her. The leaves felt so soft to the touch. Maybe she could take a quick nap in the sunlight and recharge her energy.
She might have, but Chebi made an excited sound that drew her attention. Chuchubie opened her eyes, then followed her friend?s outstretched hand as it pointed toward the horizon. Something sparkled in the distance, but she didn't know what.
Chuchubie looked at her friend curiously. Chebi bounced up to her feet and destroyed an entire swath of the forest, then took her friend by the hand and pulled her up. Whatever that glow was, it clearly excited Chebi.
Together, they hopped off toward the sparkle.
Totodile hummed to himself as he went about his chores. He wiped off a dish until it sparkled and he could see his smiling reflection, placed it on the dish rack to dry, then grabbed the next plate and blasted it with a water gun. He continued humming his playful tune as he worked.
He loved these types of days. Sunshine came through the open window, the house was clean, and he could hear the faint chitter of other Pokemon going about his small town. It was perfect. Maybe later he could even go outside and relax in the pond or river nearby.
It was calm and peaceful until he felt the rumble. It was strange. He looked down at his feet as the entire house shook with a faint tremble. What was that? An earthquake? They didn't have many in this region, and there weren't any ground-type Pokemon strong enough nearby. The tremble came again, stronger than before. Totodile looked around with a nervous expression. What was going on?
A shadow fell onto the house and blocked the sunlight. With a nervous twitch in his belly, Totodile went to the door, opened it, walked out into his yard, then looked up at the absolutely titanic figures who stomped into his life. The little water-type's skin went pale as he stared up at the two Cherrim. They were bigger than any Pokemon he had ever seen before!
He froze in shock. How was this possible? He heard about Pokemon dynamaxing before, and becoming giant-sized versions of themselves, but this was on another level. They were so huge that his house barely even reached the top of their paws!
One of them lifted her foot to continue. The giant appendage shifted above Totodile, giving him a view of the soft underside for just a moment. It was a surreal experience, like looking up at a mountain as it flew over his world. He couldn't move, couldn't speak, could do anything but watch as the titan leaned forward and SLAMMED her foot into his house, obliterating it as though it were made of paper. The following shockwave shoved him onto his butt as the pair of titans continued into the town, laughing and giggling as their feet left ruin in their wake.
This place was so interesting! Chuchubie knelt down and looked at one of the odd structures near the edge of town. She knew about houses and buildings, but this was the first time she saw one up close. It was a lot less impressive than what the other Pokemon told her, but then again, she was about a hundred times bigger than normal.
The farmhouse had two stories, with bright red walls and a tiled roof. A grain silo stood next to it with a few tiny Pokemon grazing in the nearby field. The Miltank looked up at her curiously as they chewed on some hay. She smiled and waved to them, and they went back to their snack.
A thought popped into Chuchubie's head. She wanted to feel what this tiny house was like. She carefully extended her pointed finger, moved it toward the house, then pressed on its sides until the structure started to bend. Cracks and snaps echoed through the building as the slight pressure of her finger caused beams to break. A window shattered, then one of the doors flew off its hinges as a group of even smaller Pokemon flooded out into the field.
The house collapsed only a few seconds after. Whoops. She didn't mean to break it, these buildings were just so delicate for someone as huge as her!
Chebi smirked as entire hoards of tiny village Pokemon flooded around her feet. They looked so funny down there, like little ants scurrying around the forest undergrowth. It?s amazing how a little perspective can change so much about life. Once, she was like these tiny Pokemon, running around and skipping through small paths cut out through fields and grass. Now she was a giant, and her standing in place was enough to carve immense craters in the ground. She smiled as she lifted her foot, swung it forward, then brought it down with a mighty THOOM. Were some of the tiny Pokemon under her paw when it crashed into the earth and buried itself in a crater almost as wide as the street? Maybe, but she never bothered to worry about the ants under her sole.
A cracking and popping sound drew her attention. She looked over toward Chuchubie as the Cherrim dug her hands under the foundation of a house, then lifted it into the sky. Small chunks of dirt and stone tumbled between her fingers as she raised the building up to her face and peered inside.
What a fun idea! Chebi skipped toward one of the few buildings in the town that hadn't been destroyed yet, dug her hands under its foundation, then ripped it into the sky. With a joyful spark in her step, she hopped over to her friend.
Chuchubie smiled when the two came close. Chebi then moved the house in her hand toward her belly, and motioned for her friend to do the same. When they stood in front of each other with the buildings in front of their bellies, Chebi shifted forward and embraced her friend. The pair of giant Cherrim smooshed together, crushing the tiny houses between their tummies as they squeezed each other tight.
They barely even felt the crack and crunch of the walls crumbling to splinters.
Every time Chuchubie took a step, she grew a little bigger. Every house she stomped through, every tree that broke under her foot, every car that crumbled, and every bridge that shattered added to her increasing size. Soon, the houses were barely big enough to feel when her foot came down and smashed them to pieces. She couldn't even make out the smaller Pokemon anymore!
That might be hundreds of Rattata in the field she stomped through, hidden in burrows or darting through the field. They were nothing anymore. Insignificant, and too tiny for the pair of titans to even recognize.
Their focus was on the glittering collection of buildings in front of them. Though there were a few detours along the way, mostly in the form of some very fun settlements and towns, they always moved toward that sparkle on the horizon. Now they knew what it was. Hundreds, maybe even thousands of super-tall skyscrapers reached upward with glass facades reflecting the light of the sun. Countless roads made their way into the heart of the iron jungle, each one clogged with frantic cars and bike paths.
Except the towers didn't seem that tall anymore. In fact, the largest one barely came up to Chuchubie's eye level. She looked at her friend and smiled. Maybe this place would have been huge and intimidating once, but now it was just another fun area to hop and skip through.
Chebi went first. She walked on the smaller buildings at the outskirts of the city until she reached the first skyscraper. It reflected her curious eyes as she bent down and looked into the windows, marveling at the tiny Pokemon scampering around the office space. Once she saw enough, she spun around and thrust her butt into the building. The impact was as devastating as a Hyper Beam from any of the world's strongest Pokemon. Dust and smoke erupted from the crater as windows smashed and floors gave way. The building couldn't withstand the pressure, and it collapsed as the failures multiplied.
Debris spread in an area around her feet, but Chebi didn't mind. She just laughed as she waved the dust away.
Chuchubie was a little hesitant as she kicked her feet toward the next super-tall building. It was pretty, in its own rigid, structured way. She almost wished she could keep it as a souvenir, or wear it as a piece of jewelry, but that was impossible. These structures were only good for one thing, and that was the satisfying crunch they made when they shattered.
She reached around the skyscraper and embraced it in a warm hug. It barely managed any resistance before the glass shattered and the steel skeleton failed. Her arms broke through the center of it, allowing the top half to bend over and free fall into the buildings nearby, causing a domino effect that destroyed a handful of others.
The pair had a great time walking through the city. Chebi enjoyed kicking the base of the towers and watching them collapse. Chuchubie was a little more delicate. She bumped into the buildings with her hips, or simply shoved them out of the way.
They grew larger every time a skyscraper fell. Soon, the tallest ones barely reached their bellies, then their knees. By that point, it was impossible to take a step without shattering countless buildings under their feet and turning an entire city block into a crater of destruction. Chuchubie paused when they came to the far side of the city. A path of desolation lay behind them, marked by deep footprints and burning fires. Smog clouded everything at ground level, caused by the massive amounts of dust kicked up by the toppling buildings. Smoke billowed toward the sky, creating black clouds.
It was chaos, and far more than either of the giants imagined. Chebi giggled to herself as she looked at their handiwork. Who would have thought that two little Cherrim could do all this? Chuchubie covered her mouth in surprise. It was quite a shock seeing all this destruction caused by her feet and belly. If she wanted to, she could go back and destroy the rest of the city without much trouble. Nothing could even try to stop them. If a Charizard flew up to their heads and used its Flame Thrower, she wouldn't notice. Maybe there were a bunch of tiny Pokemon that had tried to stop her as she walked past, shooting at the underside of her paw with a barrage of Hyper Beams, Razor Leafs, Hydro Pumps, and Thunder attacks, but she just didn't feel them.
She thought back to the tiny tingles she felt on her paw when she stomped on a bundle of electrical equipment. Was that any less powerful than a Pikachu's thunderbolt?
Chebi giggled again. Chuchubie might have felt a little surprised at the destruction they caused, but Chebi was having too much fun to care. The Cherrim hopped over to her friend and threw her arms around her. Chuchubie let it happen and snuggled closer. Together, the pair embraced in the glow of the fires caused by their destruction.
Then they felt it again! Their snuggles caused another sudden surge of scale. They grew until the city was barely more than a dense collection of grey and broken grime below them, with the towers barely as tall as their paws. Now it would be trivial to lay waste to civilization.
Chebi understood it instantly. With an excited smirk, she lifted her paw over a chunk of the city that was still intact. The buildings seemed to shudder as huge chunks of dirt rained down from her paw and struck the streets below. Then her paw came down.
It impacted with all the force of a crashing meteor. Everything under her paw was eradicated in a burst of fire and energy. The buildings nearby were smashed by the shockwave as it traveled outward, and even those that were miles away had their foundations crumbled by the earthquake.
A single stomp, and half the city was in ruins.
Chuchubie laughed as the shock wave moved through the streets and eventually struck the bottom of her foot. It reminded her of splashing through small puddles left after a rainstorm, except now the waves destroyed countless homes and buildings. It was funny in its own silly, strange way.
She was about to lift her foot and stomp on a section of the civilization as well when a series of flashes lit up her stomach. She glanced down as fire and smoke erupted around her waistline, each burst marking the impact of a missile or detonating charge. At first, she wasn't sure what was happening. Then she saw the jet fighters curling in the air and the large vehicles driving through the remaining city streets.
The military was attacking them. Though the humans let loose a barrage of some of their strongest attacks, Chuchubie could barely feel it. Her skin was too tough for their missiles, and the blasts just didn't pack enough firepower to be more than a minor annoyance. She had been bitten by insects that hurt more than this!
She glanced over at Chebi, who was enduring a similar onslaught with a similar look of disinterest. Chebi frowned, then swatted a group of planes out of the sky when they came too close. They tumbled like flaming mosquitoes through the air until they slammed into some of the nearby buildings.
A cluster of jet fighters flew a few relative inches in front of Chuchubie's face. Their sudden appearance surprised her, and she took a step back on reflex. As she did, she felt a significant crunch under her feet, followed by a few hot spots as whatever she stomped on detonated and exploded.
She glanced down at the destruction caused by the minor movement. Apparently, an entire army of tanks and artillery had mobilized near her body. Her step destroyed an entire corps of them, and left countless others in ruins.
Funny, since she didn't even realize they were there.
Chebi sighed, already annoyed with the human's attempts to stop them. She turned toward the army, lifted her foot, and smashed it down. Hundreds, if not thousands, of tanks and army vehicles were obliterated by the sudden and destructive movement. Chuchubie hesitated, but she followed her friend's example after another barrage of missiles bounced off her backside. These humans were annoying.
It was alright, though. Their tanks and cannons made a very satisfying crunch when stepped on.
Chebi and Chuchubie had fun obliterating what was left of the army. They stepped on some of them, scooped up others and plopped them into their mouths, or simply decimated battalions with a cute poke of their finger. Nothing could survive contact with their titanic bodies.
Once the army was dealt with and the few remaining tanks retreated, the pair of immense Cherrim returned their attention to the smouldering city. There was still a lot left to it! Chebi went first, and kicked her feet out as she marched through downtown. Buildings went flying every time she swung her foot.
Chuchubie skipped and twirled across the suburbs, obliterating white picket-fenced houses and carefully built up neighborhoods with each motion. When she was bored, she scooped up handfuls of houses and smooshed them between her hands. It was fun watching them crush into the dirt and ooze through her fingers.
Chebi had fun as well. She used her pearl as a wrecking ball and smashed it into the ground, sending shockwaves that obliterated bridges and shattered highways. A nearby dam shattered after a particularly strong impact and flooded a large section of the civilization. Chebi enjoyed squishing the muddy water between her toes after she stomped through it.
The military continued their strikes, but it didn't matter. Their largest bombs didn't even pierce the top layer of skin. Jet fighters circled around their heads like tiny gnats, but a single swipe of their hand was enough to send the aircraft into death spirals. Chebi and Chuchubie didn't even notice the tanks after a while. Their bullets and artillery shells didn't even leave a scratch.
It was funny to think that this was the apex of human achievement. These people had spent hundreds, if not thousands of years trying to develop weapons that could stop any threat, no matter how large and intimidating. Yet, for all their work and effort, it meant nothing when put next to two cute Cherrims trying to have a fun time.
Even their high-altitude missiles did nothing. Chebi felt it as it struck the back of her head, but still, it was barely more than a tickle.
As they stomped through the city and obliterated the military defenses, the pair of titans continued to grow and expand. Eventually, they were big enough to cause natural catastrophes with each movement. When they kicked their legs forward, wind tore around them at speeds rivaling hurricanes. Their footsteps caused earthquakes that could shatter landscapes, and their laughter was so loud that it broke windows for miles. If they noticed an airplane flying too close, they simply had to motion in its direction, and the force of wind ripped it apart.
These human creations were just so delicate.
When they had enough fun with the city, the two Cherrim went to each other, held hands, and simply fell backward. They landed on the ground with an impact that had no equal in Earth's history. The ground below them liquified as the energy of their fall turned stone into magma and melted the metal supports of skyscrapers. The entire city was leveled by the impact, leaving it as nothing more than a crater surrounding the two adorable Pokemon as they cuddled and laughed together.
The countryside trembled under their footsteps. Nothing could stop them, and the world seemed like little more than a mat of colors and textures for them to walk on. The small towns and villages blended in with the rest of the environment. They couldn't feel them when they stepped on them, and no Pokemon in the entire world could hope to inflict even a bit of damage.
They were past the descriptor of titan. Now they were truly gods who changed the natural world by simply moving. Hurricane-force winds followed the arc of their legs as they stepped forward. Their breathing changed global air currents. When each footstep was an earthquake, even the planet seemed like a malleable and fragile thing.
They were having so much fun. Despite their scale, they could still make out the unique features of the landscape when they looked closely and concentrated. The settlements had a different color than the forests, and the mountains were still tall enough that they had to lift their feet to clear the tops. Not that it mattered. If they chose to kick through the rock, the stone would shatter without even a hint of resistance.
Chuchubie saw the next city first. It sparkled on the edge of a great dessert like a gemstone about to be buried under miles of sand. She hopped over to it with a smile, then stopped when it rested a step in front of her, eclipsed in her shadow.
It looked so tiny. She could hardly believe that she hadn't even seen a place like this before today, and that less than an hour ago the towers made it to the top of her head. Now its skyscrapers rose halfway up her foot, at most.
She shifted her weight. The slight motion caused bridges to buckle and sent a handful of the skyscrapers tumbling. Just being close to her was enough for their foundations to fail. She didn't even have to try to destroy them. Her mere presence was enough.
She looked down at the city with a playful smirk. How should she destroy this one? A stomp was fun, but a little simple. Maybe she could sit on it, or blast it with one of her attacks? There were so many good options. Maybe she would have hesitated once, but now it was hard to view this city as anything of importance. She was above it, literally and figuratively.
Chuchubie crouched down, then extended her hand. The immense palm eclipsed the city and everyone panicked inside of it. Cards honked their horns, Pokemon rushed for shelter, and military vehicles shot their weapons. She didn't even feel the detonation of the missiles against her palm.
With a cheerful bap, she placed her palm onto the city and smooshed it into the ground. The crunch was satisfying, like crumbling a dried leaf between her fingers. She reveled in the satisfaction as she twisted her hand back and forth, molten stone and concrete seeping between her digits.
When she moved her hand away, all that was left was a smoldering pit of burning steel and stone. The city was no more.
While Chuchubie had fun with the tiny city, Chebi found something interesting as well. The ocean sparkled on the other side of the immense desert, and nestled in a natural harbor was another city. This one looked busy, with countless roads leading into and out of it, with hundreds of ships in the nearby water. It looked fun and interesting, especially for a giant Cherrim in the mood to break something.
Chebi didn't want to wait. She lifted the pearl around her neck as she approached the port city, then let it drop from the sky. The air glowed around the immense orb as it fell, the raw heat from friction turning it into a burning cataclysm. The Pokemon in the city barely had the chance to realize what was happening before the necklace crashed onto them and obliterated everything in a fireball that could rival even the greatest human bombs ever created.
The ocean near the city was thrown outward by the impact. A tsunami over a thousand feet tall surged outward, destroying every boat nearby before continuing into the greater ocean.
Dirt and stone were thrown into the air in a great plume, only to rain down as burning chunks, causing even more devastation to the surrounding landscape.
It was such a simple action, but the results were so devastating and beautiful. Chebi stood with her hands on her hips, admiring her handiwork. Then she heard her friend calling for her attention. Chebi turned to see Chuchubie standing near a collection of snow-capped mountains.
They looked like the spine of a long-dead dragon half buried in the earth... or at least that's what the local Pokemon said about the great spires. To Chebi and Chuchubie, they were pretty unimpressive. Chuchubie giggled as she lifted her foot over the tallest peak, then brought it down with an immense slam. Her paw crashed through the trillions of tons of rock as though it were nothing more than a pile of sand. Burning chunks shot out in every direction, turning parts of the surrounding desert into glass.
Chebi's smile was radiant. She LOVED the idea of breaking mountains under her feet! With a hop, she approached an intact part of the mountain range and looked down at the peaks. Maybe there were some bold Pokemon climbing through the passes, or trying to reach the top. It didn't matter. She wanted to break it apart, so that's what would happen.
She lifted her foot over the peak, just as her friend did, but was stopped as an immense blast of searing white light erupted around her. She squinted against the intensely bright light as the air around her fizzled and sparked. Her petals blew in the intense gusts, and she felt the faintest bit of heat on her belly. Once the light cleared, she looked down to find a mushroom cloud growing from the space in front of her. She dissipated the smoke and haze with a wave of her hand.
A nuclear blast wasn't enough to cause her any harm, but it was definitely irritating. With a frown, she looked around the landscape, searching for what attacked her. There had to be an irritating human civilization around her somewhere.
Chuchubie giggled at the entire event. Chebi was so cute when she was angry. While Chebi looked around the landscape, searching for the humans who attacked her, Chuchubie let her mind wander. What other fun things could she play with around here?
Her eyes widened as she saw another sparkle resting on the coastline. Another city! She really enjoyed messing with them and breaking all of their tall buildings. It only took a few strides of her massive legs to reach the outskirts of the metropolis. Fires broke out just from her stomps, and a few buildings tumbled from the raw force of her footsteps. These tiny people really needed to learn how to build better towers.
How should she mess with this one? She hummed to herself as she thought about it, running through the ideas in her head. She could scoop it up and throw it as far as she could, or she could sit on it, or... a playful grin spread on her face as she settled on an idea. Yes, she knew exactly what to do.
The Pikachu felt a jolt run down her backside as she stared up at the titan. It was an unbelievable, impossible sight, and it set her heart aflutter. She had lived in this city for her entire life, doing odd jobs here and there to get by. Sometimes she stopped by a coffee shop and served the customers their orders, and sometimes she ran through the streets making deliveries. It wasn't much, and she often felt dwarfed by the gigantic towers rising over her head, but it was a life.
She wanted more. How many nights had she looked out from her apartment and fantasized about something bigger? Hundreds, maybe thousands at this point. She didn't know exactly what she wanted, or what form it would take, all she knew was that she wanted to be part of something huge and important. The sort of thing that would make the entire world stop and take notice. One day, she'd have the chance.
And that day was today. Her tail twitched as she looked up at the giant Cherrim. The titan's body was so immense that it didn't seem real. She towered over mountains and made even the tallest skyscrapers look like specks, while her head was so high above that the atmosphere made her features hard to distinguish. Clouds flowed into her belly and broke apart on her skin.
Pikachu wanted to be close to the Cherrim. Her cheeks sparked when she thought about the giant lifting up her foot and stomping on the city, or maybe even turning around and sitting on it. She didn't care what happened. As long as Cherrim was happy and the Pikachu was involved, it would be the culmination of her dreams.
She watched as the immense Cherrim lowered herself onto her hands and knees, then brought her head closer. The Pikachu's heart raced as Chuchubie's tongue extended from her mouth, pressed into the ground close to the edge of the horizon, then dragged forward toward the city.
A lick! She was going to be licked up and swallowed by the greatest Pokemon the world had ever seen!
This was her dream, and she embraced it with an electric smile.
Chuchubie finished her lick with an easy movement. The city rested on her tongue with nothing except a long gouge in the earth where it once rested. With a grin, she brought her tongue into her mouth, sucked a little, and let the flavors of the metropolis dance across her taste buds. She expected it to be earthy, or maybe even a bit sour. Instead, it had an almost sweet flavor. How interesting!
She played with the mouthful a little bit, swishing it around her cheeks, smashing it into the roof of her mouth, grinding it between her molars, then forced it to the back of her mouth and swallowed. In a cute little gulp, millions of Pokemon tumbled down her gullet.
And they tasted wonderful.
Meanwhile, Chebi still searched for the pesky source of the nuclear bomb. It was just so difficult looking for something so tiny. It could be anything! Was that a town under her foot, or a tank they outfitted with a plethora of bombs and weapons? Were those small dots in the sky passenger aircraft flying to some far off destination, or jet fighters gearing up to launch a barrage of missiles?
It was just so annoying! She swatted the planes out of the sky since it didn't matter if they were civilian or military. They were still annoying. She stomped on the patches of ground below her, decimating towns and leaving small villages in ruins. Yet, the attacks continued. Though she didn't notice most of their barrage, every now and then a bomb would erupt in front of her nose that was large enough to see, or a missile would detonate against her belly and leave a patch of soot.
But then she saw it! Just past the mountains, nestled in the middle of a flat desert area with nothing leading to it except for a single road, was a military base. Her eyes sparkled as she made out the details of the fighter jets stationed on the runway, the tanks driving along the paths, and the countless little specks that must have been people and Pokemon alike. Finally, she found it! And she could deal with it.
Chebi smiled as she lifted her hands toward the sky and spread out her petals. The sunlight collected on her form, moving through the miles and miles of cells that made up her body, its energy gathering inside of her until she practically sparkled with energy. She gathered it at the tips of her petals, then let loose a solar beam that made their nuclear bombs look like a baby Charmander's ember attack.
The beam was so bright that it made the sun look dim. It slammed into the ground a bit in front of Chebi and cut through miles of the Earth's crust as though it were snow melting in the presence of a blow torch, leaving huge waves of lava as tall as mountains to splash out toward the landscape. She pulled the beam upward, eliminating entire biomes as the blast cut across the desert, then the military base, then the grasslands and forests and mountains beyond. Everything the light touched was eradicated. Sand turned to molten glass and mountain ranges were burned away. By the time the light of her attack faded, the planet had a permanent scar running across its face.
Chebi smiled, proud of her work. Her Solarbeams were always impressive, but this was strong even for her.
She blinked as a small black dot zoomed in front of her face and sent another missile to detonate against her nose. Chebi shook her head as she smacked it out of the sky. Just like real gnats, you can't ever get them all.
Minutes turned to hours, and the Cherrim's playtime continued. The giants grew larger and larger as they went, until they could see the curvature of the planet when they stood up straight. How large were they going to become? The thought crossed Chuchubie's mind a few times, but it wasn't a problem. Nothing could stop them anymore, so growing even taller would only be a fun thing.
Her thoughts paused when she spotted a tiny clump of green and brown out in the middle of the ocean. She never knew land could exist so far out to sea! Interested, she stepped into the water and watched as a tsunami raced away from her foot and swamped the coastline. Though it was barely more than a ripple for her, the hundred foot wave destroyed everything bordering the water. She smiled as she continued forward, each step evaporating millions of gallons of water and causing another wave.
She knelt down when she reached the island. It was pretty large by island standards, made up of a few mountains with a city nestled in between the peaks. How did it get here? Who placed it here, and why wasn't it closer to the mainland? As she looked at the tiny speck of dirt and trees, she wondered just how much of the planet was out there that she never knew about. She spent her whole life in the woods, never realising just how small it was compared to the rest of the world.
Well, now she could see everything and more!
She smiled as she reached into the water and shoved her hand into the bedrock of the ocean. The island trembled as she forced her hand under the landmass, then lifted it upward. Water drained off her palm as she pulled the island into the air.
It had such a unique shape and texture. The mountains stuck up into the air with rounded tops, while jagged skyscrapers rested within them with roads and rivers threaded in between. She bet the Pokemon living here loved it. The beaches would have made such a perfect place to sit, rest, and relax the day away.
She plopped it into her mouth without another thought. It tasted similar to the other city she licked off the face of the Earth, with a slightly sweet flavor. She hummed to herself as her jaw rose and fell, grinding the skyscrapers, roads, trains, cars, buses, and everything else into dust. Then, when she was ready, she let it slip to the back of her throat and swallow.
Tasty!
Chebi watched the entire scene from her spot on the beach. Yes, eating an island was fun and all, but Chebi had another idea. A cooler, more impressive, and definitely more impactful idea. She made a motion to her friend to draw her attention, then she bent her legs, took aim, and launched herself into the sky.
Her shadow eclipsed the land as she flew upward, barely tethered by the planet's gravity, then steadily arced down. She brought up her legs so her knees touched her chest, then plummeted toward the surface with all the power of a planet-killer meteor. When her butt touched the water, it evaporated hundreds of millions of gallons of liquid instantly, then forced an even larger amount into a titanic wave.
Where Chuchubie's footsteps caused waves that were hundreds of feet high, the tsunami from Chebi's cannonball was measured in miles. Anything on the coastline was destroyed, completely swept away by the billion gallons of water crushing into the landscape. It continued deeper and deeper, washing away everything until the tsunami was eventually stopped by mountain ranges, or it met the ocean on the other side of the continents.
The Cherrim giggled to each other as they watched the destruction. It was like a little ripple going across the surface of a pond.
They continued skipping and hopping through the mud puddles and across the landscape until their playtime left them parched. Chuchubie looked around for something to drink, but even the lakes sprinkled below them would only make for a sip. Chebi made a sound and motioned to her friend, then pointed at the ocean. It might have been a little salty, but there was more than enough water for both of them.
Chuchubie hopped over to her friend, then they both knelt down and moved their faces closer to the churning ocean waters. Their lips made contact, then they sucked up as much as they could. Their mouths filled with millions of gallons of water before they gulped it down and kept going. Schools of fish were sucked inside, swirled around the black interiors of their maw, then thrown into their stomachs with the rest of the ocean as the two Cherrim kept drinking.
But with every gulp, they grew larger! They kept gulping down bigger and bigger mouthfuls of water until they were the size of entire countries. Fish, sharks, boats, and even whales were too small to notice as they were thrown around the inside of their mouths before being dragged into the abyss of their stomachs.
By the time they finished, the oceans were drained. Small muddy puddles lay in trenches and gorges while rivers exited onto immense salt plains. With almost all of the planet's water in their bellies, the two titans stood and giggled at each other. They didn't mean to swallow so much, but sometimes you're just that thirsty. Now that they were full, it was back to play time!
Chebi hopped across the landscape that was once an ocean, then stomped on a few cities and regions. At the size of countries, even the mountain ranges were barely big enough to feel. The military didn't even send attacks to stop them anymore. Their biggest bombs were nothing compared to the energy of a single one of their steps, and all their elite Pokemon warriors were nothing but microscopic gnats desperately trying to avoid their every movement.
While Chebi hopped around, crushing millions under her feet with every stomp, Chuchubie meandered over the countryside with her eyes toward the ground. She stopped when she spotted another city, crisscrossed by thousands of sparkling lights and highways. It was bigger than all the other cities they had stomped, and might have been the largest one in the entire world! Still, it wasn't as big as her finger.
Chuchubie knelt down and extended her hand. The sky above the city was eclipsed by her being, the sun hidden behind her immense head as she smiled down. Her pointer finger extended, the air glowing with red hot plasma as she brought it closer and closer to the earth. Then, simply, she poked the metropolis.
The center of the city was completely eradicated the moment her finger made contact, and the shockwave it generated was enough to flatten everything for miles. Bridges didn't just collapse, they were ripped apart and thrown into the air. Streets and cars vaporized while skyscrapers shattered into billions of tiny pieces of debris.
As the fireball and shockwave of her poke expanded across the landscape, Chuchubie felt something growing inside her. She was having so much fun, and the energy of her joy rebounded inside of her and grew exponentially until her entire body was alight with power. The energy swirled around her, then released in a triumphant burst!
She spun around, her body evolved into her mega evolution! Upon seeing her friend's transformation, Chebi's eyes lit up. She smiled and cheered for the other titan until her body began to glow as well. The same burst of light enveloped her, and with a happy hop and a smiling burst of joy, she took on her mega form.
The Earth trembled as they walked toward each other. They were massive, true titans that rivaled the globe itself in terms of scale. Chuchubie looked down at herself, marveling at the deep footprints she left with each movement. They glowed as lava and molten rock bubbled at the bottom, while the sides were formed by cliffs taller than the largest mountains.
They must have been half the size of the planet already! Chebi giggled as she took a
few steps, obliterating entire countries with her feet. The shockwaves were powerful enough to travel across the globe numerous times, like ripples going across a small sphere of water.
Neither of the titans had ever experienced something like this before. Gravity itself felt strange, as the planet below them could barely hold them down anymore. With a giggle, Chebi marched across the Earth's surface, kicking her feet with every titanic stomp. It only took her a handful of paces to circle around its equator and return to her friend.
Chuchubie giggled. She couldn't even shift her weight without causing unparalleled destruction to the surface of the Earth, and every broken building and shattered mountain added to her size. When she was almost three quarters the size of the planet, she crouched low, readied herself, then jumped with all her might.
Her immense body lifted off the planet's surface, tore through the atmosphere, then drifted upward into the great expanse of space beyond. Her eyes sparkled as she took in the billions of stars all around her, each one sparkling like a diamond against the great black void.
Chebi followed her into space a few moments after, and the pair drifted around the globe as though it were a small ball they could toss between each other. A playful thought flashed through Chebi's head. She moved toward the Earth, gently grabbed it with one hand to keep it steady, then used her pointer finger to draw a big burning smiley face on the ground. There, now it looked happy to have them play with it!
Chuchubie leaned over the other side of the planet with her mouth slightly open. There was so much detail on this tiny globe. All of their footprints carved the landscape into burning chunks, while forests, deserts, and mountains squeezed into the spaces between. Even though it was a little trampled, it still looked so cool and mesmerizing. Her mouth opened as she searched through all the minute details, allowing a bit of drool to seep out of her mouth and flood back onto the planet. It landed on a continent and slowly began to flood entire countries.
It took a bit for her to realize. When she finally noticed the growing ocean of drool, she rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment as her cheeks blushed. At least no one saw... or no one of importance, at least. Still, the drool gave her an idea. If all the tiny cities tasted a little sweet, how would a lick of the planet taste?
There was only one way to find out! She closed her eyes, let her mouth open and her tongue extended past her lips, then she pressed it against the planet and dragged it upward in a long and loving lick. By the time she pulled her tongue back, there were countless civilizations crumbling across her taste buds. She pulled it into her mouth and focused on the sensations moving across her palate. Some areas were sweet like the cities she had swallowed before, but others had a salty component to them. One area even felt a little spicy! There was so much variety on this planet. She swallowed whatever was in her mouth, then went in for another lick.
Meanwhile, Chebi had doodled her way across the planet, adding details to the smiling face and crushing millions of people and Pokemon in the process. But it was worth it. The Earth looked so cute now! She smiled as she let the tiny planet drift in the space between her body and her necklace.
She thought about destroying it completely. It really wouldn't be hard anymore, especially considering how easy the outer crust was to smoosh around and bend. It probably wouldn't take more than a huge stomp to smash it into pieces. Maybe she'd float the idea over to her friend once Chuchubie was done licking it.
The Steelix once thought he was powerful. He believed himself to be one of the largest Pokemon in the region, possibly even the continent. When he slammed his body into the ground near his mountain home, earthquakes trembled the area and minor landslides rolled down the hills. He had defeated countless other Pokemon during his life, from Graveler to Onix to rival Steelix. None of them could surpass him and his extra sized body.
He looked down on Wurmple as though they were nothing more than ants crossing his path. He barely even acknowledged the frolicking Pikachu as anything more than an electric annoyance. If there was a king of the region, it was this Steelix, and no one was even strong enough to act as a rival.
And yet, as he stared up at a sky completely covered by the gigantic eyeball of a planet-sized Cherrim, he felt tiny. Though the atmosphere made the structure a little hazy, he could still make out every detail of it. Her pupil dilated and focused as it shifted around the landscape, observing the larger details while ignoring everything tiny enough to be microscopic to her. And that included the Steelix.
He knew that he was looking up at a god. There wasn't anything he could do to stop her, or even to draw her attention. The strongest earthquake he could generate with all the force and energy contained within his body was nothing compared to a single footstep. He could attack her for days, months, even years, and it would have as much of an effect as a gnat biting at his steel body.
For the first time since he was a newly hatched Onix, he remembered what it was like to feel small. Then Chebi lifted her finger and moved it over his section of the globe. He didn't try to flee. He didn't dig into his cave and try to survive, since he knew it would be pointless. The sky went dark as her finger pushed through the atmosphere like a planet-killer asteroid, her smiling face lost somewhere in the great beyond just past it.
Steelix closed his eyes, accepting his place as something far, far below her.
Boop, Chebi's finger came down on a random patch of the Earth. Did she squish anything important? Maybe. But what actually counted as important anymore? It?s hard to argue that anything small enough to fit under her finger pad had any value, especially compared to the small amount of fun and joy it gave her.
As the two giant Cherrim continued to play with the planet, they grew bigger and bigger until it was barely as wide as their palms. They drifted around the tiny globe, observing it as they giggled at their new size.
Chebi grabbed it first, then tossed it to Chuchubie as though it were a ball. Chuchubie caught it, juggled it between her hands for a few seconds, then tossed it back to her friend. The Earth's surface shook and crumbled with each motion until the entire crust was a burning, churning mass of lava. They didn't care. If anything, it looked more interesting now that it had a red hot glow!
They kept tossing it back and forth as they grew larger. Soon it was no bigger than a
marble, and they had to be careful not to lose sight of it. Chebi caught it again and held it in her palm as Chuchubie floated closer. It was difficult to imagine that they both used to live on this thing. No, more than that, it once seemed impossibly huge. Now it fit in the palm of her hand without any effort.
Chebi lifted her finger and went to poke it again. This time, the planet could not withstand the playful touch. Its outer shell ripped apart, its molten insides gushed out like a popped grape, and even its iron core melted and deformed under the sudden pressure. With a single playful motion, the Earth was ripped apart.
They both laughed as globs of molten magma flowed around them, orbiting their hands and feet like the rings of some of the other planets. Though the Earth might be lost, there were still a lot of interesting things left to play with!
But before they could focus on any of the other toys, Chebi's body began to glow again. Her form changed, morphing into her most powerful shape. With a flash, she emerged as Giga Chebi!
Chuchubie floated around her friend, marveling at the elegant details of her new form. This was amazing. Nothing in the universe could stop them before, but now they were even further beyond the limits of what should have been possible. With a smile, they turned toward the brightest and most notable thing in their existence. Together, they flew toward the sun.
Surprisingly, it didn't take long to reach. The pair of titans orbited around the giant golden globe, their eyes sparkling as they reflected the brilliant radiance of the star. It felt so warm, even though it was about the same size as them. Chuchubie wasn't sure what they should do with it, and Chebi was completely fascinated by the ever shifting pattern on its surface and the great arcs of plasma that shot out from its center.
Then Chebi had an idea! She flew under the sun and grabbed it with both hands, lifting it over her head like a beach ball. Chuchubie giggled as she flew a little bit away, then extended her arms. Chebi tossed the sun, and her friend bounced it back.
Giggling and full of joy, the pair batted the sun back and forth between them. Sometimes they'd miss, and the star would drift further out into the void of space. It was easy enough to fly toward it and grab it before it went too far.
The other planets were thrown off by the violent movements. Saturn crashed into Chebi's butt after a few minutes, while Chuchubie grabbed Jupiter and smooshed it against her belly. With each planet ripped apart, they grew in size and scale until even the sun was barely larger than an apple.
With the tiny flaming sphere hovering between them, they decided there was only one thing left to do. The pair leaned forward, opened their mouths, and bit into the celestial orb. It broke apart as they ripped it in two, chewed its hot, gooey plasma in their maws, then swallowed it in a pair of titanic gulps.
As the sun settled into Chebi's belly, its raw fusion power unleashed another burst of energy. Her eyes widened as the solar radiance bubbled through her until it overflowed in another transformation. She morphed into her full sunshine form!
With her new powers, Chebi waved her hand and created a new star out of the great nothingness of space. Chuchubie watched in pure fascination as the star drifted around her head, bubbling and sparkling. This was fantastic! They now had the power to change the very fabric of reality!
They continued having fun with the universe, growing larger and larger and larger. Though Chebi was in her full sunshine form, Chuchubie's size expanded by orders of magnitude as she flew through the galaxy, smashing entire solar systems across her belly. Soon the two of them were large enough to make out the spiralled arms of the Milky Way. Then they were large enough to break them apart as they smeared stars and planets across their bodies.
Chuchubie flew toward the center of the galaxy after, and found a strange spinning mass. It was completely black, with an immense disk of matter swirling and bending around it. She might not have known anything about a black hole, but that didn't stop her from giving it a lick. The immense mass of near infinite density was smashed apart and gobbled down into her belly as though it were a particularly spicy piece of candy.
They continued to expand until entire galaxies fit into the palm of their hands, then further and further and further beyond. Soon Chuchubie could see the complex web of galaxies that made up the universe, then she understood the shape of super clusters and the great cosmic voids. She expanded until she understood the universe in ways no scientist before her could ever hope to, and then even further beyond that until her body finally pushed up against the limit.
She found the very edges of the universe! Most Pokemon would have been stopped by the known edge of reality, but she just thought it was an interesting challenge. She pushed against it as trillions of galaxies crashed into her belly and butt, then managed to rip her way through.
Her form multiplied in size again, expanding until she was past the limits of the known universe. She found herself floating in a great multidimensional reality, one where time and space no longer held any meaning. Tiny globes of universes drifted past her, each one home to trillions upon trillions of galaxies.
From back within the limits of reality, Chebi crossed her arms and frowned. Suddenly, being so huge that the laws of gravity bent super clusters into new shapes seemed small. But still, she was happy her friend had reached such unimaginable sizes. Soon, she'd reach them as well. She just needed to have a little fun first.
Chuchubie floated around the higher dimensional space for a little while, observing the other universes. She poked a few of them, swallowed some of the tiny ones, then drifted back to her home world. Out of all the universes, this one was the prettiest. Plus, her friend was still there!
She was so full of love that she just wanted to hug it! She grabbed the universe bubble and pressed it to her chest, squeezing and squeezing with all the power in her reality warping arms.
Chebi marveled at the sight of trillions of lights flashing all around her. Slowly, the edge of the universe collapsed in on itself. She watched as stars and galaxies crashed against the furthest wall as it plummeted inward, the universe shrinking as Chuchubie embraced it in a loving, crushing hug.
Then the universe collapsed down onto Chebi. The force of everything, all of reality falling into her body, gave her a burst of energy that was more powerful than any known force, and it let her grow. She expanded past the edges of the universe, through the bubble, then out into the same time-space as her friend. But she didn't stop! The combined power of all known forces and energies in the universe shot her past the size of her friend, into the grand hyper scale of the multiverse!
She continued to grow until she smacked into something else. Was that the edge of the multiverse? For a moment, she debated pushing right through it and expanding into the grand and infinite existence that waited beyond, but it seemed a little excessive. After all, they were already so far past the point of all life that growing any larger didn't matter. The biggest Pokemon were now smaller than atoms.
Chebi thought about it, and managed to make herself shrink in size to match her friend. Chuchubie took Chebi's hand and smiled. They were together again, and that meant their fun could continue.
But what should they do now? All of reality was their plaything, and they had an infinite number of universes to trample across. Chuchubie had the idea first. If there were an infinite number of universes, then they could keep playing for as long as they wanted! All they needed to do was find a universe they liked, shrink down to their normal size, and then start the whole process over again.
They never had to stop, and their fun could continue for all eternity, until the very concept of time had no meaning anymore.
Hand in hand, they hopped into another universe as gods.
