Short little story to along with this set of art. It's been quite a while since I've written anything like this and I've been sort of in the mood to practice some. :)

When Devvi's friends joked about dressing her up like a silly, girly ballerina and having her dance in front of a ton of people, she thought it was just that. A silly joke. They could not have actually been serious... Right? But in a blur, she was whisked into a massive, puffy, frilly pink tutu with ribbons and bows all over her. And not to mention the gigantic, poofy diaper wrapped tightly around her, not at all hidden under that embarrassing outfit.
And to top it off, with a sudden shove in her padded behind, she pops out from behind a thick curtain and onto a stage in front of a humongous crowd of people, all clapping and laughing. Absolutely mortified, Devvi looks around the audience and shakily strikes a pose. She did not know the first thing about ballet, but maybe if she could fake it long enough, she could duck behind the curtain, take all this stuff off, and get out of there.
But as the music starts and her body starts twirling and spinning seemingly of its own accord, she can not help but let a smile start to crack along her face. There is no way she could have actually been enjoying this, she thought, there is absolutely no way! How the ribbons and air fluttered around her, the loud crinkling of her enormous diaper, and the swishing of the frilly tutu. The humility had not washed off of her, still prodding at the back of her mind, but only a dulled voice in a sea of confusing, muddled senses and emotions.
In that moment, it almost felt as if something locked deep inside of her had been set free, finally able to break out of its mental prison. Did she... want this? Did she have a sheltered desire to experience any of this? She should have been embarrassed, she should have hated this. None of this was right, none of this was her. The clothes, the diaper, the dancing, all of this was supposed to be wrong. But somehow it felt right. It felt okay. To let the shame and inhibition melt away in front of so many people and to let her experience and exist in this state. To feel this moment, to throw off her mask and simply be.
All the while, Devvi's friend looked out from behind the curtain at her performance with in almost gawking confusion. This was just supposed to be some stupid prank to scare the shit out of her. And there she was enjoying it?! One of the friends whispered, "What the hell did we do?" Another stepped back from the curtain sighed and shrugged, "I dunno, but I'm guessing something clicked inside her. Or she's gone insane. Who knows." A third chimed in, cigarette in paw, "This isn't what I had planned. She needed to lighten up for sure, take shit less serious, but I wasn't expecting this. Let's just let her finish up and go. We'll see if she hates us when she waddles back here, I guess." The three sat waiting for the music to die down, knowing they were about to have one very awkward conversation with the dancing skunk.
