It would have been totally horrific if you did it in style of Vladimir Dracul (III), aka."Vlad the Impaler " the "famous" Romanian/Transylvanian Ruler who has his enemies skewered on pikes along the roadway and around his castle, more bodies on pikes in the scenery.
